This Stranger Things Series finale theory is the most possible one to happen, details explored in-depth

Theories about the Stranger Things grand finale keep on coming up. Everyone is curious about how they are to end everything that began on November 6, 1983, in the fictional town of Hawkins, giving birth to what we call the Upside Down. And now, The Abyss, as Dustin explained to everyone in Season 5.

Now, amidst a barrage of theories, another one has surfaced, and it is so convincing that it feels like a spoiler already. One Redditor, dubbed byrd82, was the one to come up with this, and it doesn't include the part where our heroes kill Vecna and get out. Alright, now that you have read it, we can discuss it further. This 'Wormhole Reset' theory makes perfect sense, as the author of that post has mentioned,

"It works because Stranger Things has always been about childhood, loss, and the things taken too early. This ending doesn’t erase the pain for the audience. We remember everything. The characters get peace. It’s bittersweet in the most Stranger Things way possible. The world isn’t saved by winning the fight. It’s saved by making sure the fight never had to happen."

What makes this theory all the more convincing is the final part of the post, where the author reminds us that the ending of the show was filmed in advance, according to some rumors. Now, we just have to wait and watch if all of this is true.

That may give birth to Stranger Things spinoffs

We are talking time travel, people. And every time that happens and people go back in time, something's bound to become a mess, and its effects are seen somewhere. Though the Reddit post does mention that "the ripple effects are massive in the best way," some bad consequences might appear.

And when that happens, it gives birth to potential Stranger Things spinoffs, which the Duffer Brothers may already have hinted at. In an interview with Polygon, Ross Duffer says that,

"When we find others that are super passionate about a story that they want to tell in this world, that's exciting because they're always going to bring something different than we would if we were telling a version of that story. We're hopeful the spinoff and whatever comes next will have that same level of passion and excitement going into it."

An animated spinoff of the show is already in development, releasing next year on Netflix. The original characters, including Jim Hopper, Jane Hopper, Max Mayfield, and more, will return. However, the voice cast won't see the original actors who played those characters return. Voice actors involved in this upcoming project include Brett Gipson, Brooklyn Davey Norstedt, Ben Plessala, and more.

Moreover, this show is set in 1985, where the Upside Down is again sending in some new threats.

Now, that is interesting if we look at this theory the Redditor came up with. If everything resets, then how will they save Hawkins this time? Because they won't have Eleven with them. But the premise of the show says differently, and they are all together in it.

We will have to wait until the grand finale drops.
