NBC's Night Court Season 3 ended with a bang, reuniting TBBT's beloved couple, Melissa Rauch (Bernadette) and Simon Helberg (Howard).

The Big Bang Theory ended its 12-season run in 2019 with the OG cast members bidding farewell to their fans in a wholesome finale episode. While all the cast members and even CBS were still interested in continuing the sitcom, Jim Parsons' potential exit forced the creators to end the show with the main cast.

Even after its conclusion in 2019, TBBT continues to live on in many spin-off shows and also became 2024's most-streamed series.

Rauch and Helberg's reunion in Night Court Season 3 was surely a thrilling moment for all sitcom fans, but it revealed a sad truth about the Pasadena gang: that the actors have lost touch with each other.

More on this sad truth about TBBT's cast in our story.

The TBBT reunion in Night Court Season 3 revealed a sad truth about the OG gang

While Simon Helberg and Melissa Rauch's much-awaited TBBT reunion in Night Court Season 3 was a treat for fans, it revealed a sad truth about the OG sitcom's cast.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rauch discussed how they had the shocking reveal of the Season 3 finale planned, and the actress thought about her TBBT co-star for a cameo. When she approached Helberg through a phone call, he was initially startled because, as he revealed:

"No one talks anymore, so I got nervous for a second... who died or something?"

Since the OG cast is no longer in touch and does not speak to each other, Helberg was nervous for a second, but it was good news after all.

While Bernadette and Howard reuniting after 6 years in Night Court Season 3 was a dear diary moment for all the sitcom fans, Helberg's reveal is heartbreaking. While it is understandable how every cast member went their separate ways after the sitcom wrapped up, and it is easy to lose touch, this sad reveal makes a reunion possibility even more slim.

Many sitcom casts like Friends, The Office and Modern Family are still in touch and seeing them together on social media is a treat for fans. However, TBBT's cast has never been spotted together since the show ended in 2019.

While Parsons and Mayim Bialik (Amy) also reunited in 2024 for the Young Sheldon finale, fans want a reunion with all main cast members. With many TBBT spin-offs like Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage and Stuart Fails To Save The Universe, a cast reunion is possible.

Bialik and Kaley Cuoco (Penny) have also expressed interest in a reunion and even reprising their roles in the spin-off series. Kunal Nayyar (Raj), who was also seen in an episode of Night Court, denied any future reunion plans.

While there was no news about the cast reuniting, Helberg's recent cameo in Night Court Season 3 and his sad reveal suggest that getting the core cast together would be a difficult task (but will probably break the internet if it happens).

How did Simon Helberg and Melissa Rauch reunite in the Night Court Season 3 finale?

While many storylines saw major twists in the Night Court Season 3 finale, Judge Abby Stone's story ended on a shocking cliffhanger. While Abby and Jake have stayed separated for most of Season 3, Jake finally decides to propose to Abby.

But this decision comes with its problems, as Jake faces many roadblocks. First, he loses the ring, then faces a cannibal, and even has the wrong decorations sent in. However, when things finally look bright, Helberg's Spencer walks in the final moments and reveals his secret marriage to Abby.

The finale ends with Jake going to propose to Abby in her office, where he sees her kissing Spencer, her secretive husband.
