Cutthroat Kitchen: Knives Out host Brian Malarkey and Danielle Harley's latest podcast episode aired on August 5, 2025. The two talked about various things, including physical fitness, workout, card games, cardio, and more.

The Harley and Malarkey Podcast's latest episode, titled We Started Lifting Weights featured the couple sharing their thoughts on the gym and workouts. Danielle also talked about a card game she came across recently.

While talking about being in "good shape" and running regularly, Brian confessed:

"You know, it's so funny. I thought I was in really good shape from running. Cardio cardio cardio. But then you realize that your legs just move like it's in one position, one position, one position. And I have no hydraulics like a car that lifts up. I don't have it up and down. I just have a straightforward."

In their most recent podcast episode, Brian Malarkey mentioned how his whole point of starting the podcast was to say that no one was ever "too late" or "old" to start a gym. In addition to that, he said anyone can quit drinking, nicotine, and caffeine, and focus on their physical fitness at any time.

As Brian talked about starting the gym, Danielle said it was all because of her. She added that he didn't even want to go to the gym.

"I don't think I would have done any of those without you. I would be so much fun, though. I'd probably be like a bachelor living in Vegas right now, just like bloated," Cutthroat Kitchen: Knives Out host replied.

Danielle talked about a card game she had come across recently. There was a question that she saw in the game, which said:

"Where do you think you'd be in life right now if we never met?"

However, she said they would discuss that in another episode. Brian said if he had never met her, then he would have been "fat, bloated, in Vegas."

Further in the podcast, Cutthroat Kitchen: Knives Out host Brian Malarkey talked about running. He said that before joining the gym, he thought he was in good shape because of running. He used to do cardio. However, he then realized that it was just his legs that were moving.

There was no "hydraulics" like a car lifts up; rather, his legs were just moving straight forward and not up and down.

Listening to him, Danielle said:

"And, it's...you're lucky because you have good genetics and they've gotten you this far in life. But, as you continue to get older, like this is when you become injury-prone. Your muscles protect you from injuries, and your muscles protect you from Alzheimer's."

She added that muscles would protect against dementia, diabetes, and other issues. Brian added that with all those muscles, one could probably get back up.
