To My Beloved Thief Episode 2 recap: Yi-yeol's search for Eun-jo continues after the impulsive kiss

Episode 2 of To My Beloved Thief showcases Yi-Yeol and Eun-jo's reaction after the spontaneous kiss. While Yi-yeol tries to catch up to Eun-jo after the kiss, she successfully runs away from him, resulting in him trying to look for her.

Other than that, the episode also sees Eun-jo dressing up again as Gil-dong and stealing rice from Chief Kim's house to give it to a woman who needed it. However, her actions almost land the poor woman in trouble in the latest episode. Furthermore, Yi-yeol also tries to make a deal with Gil-dong, making Eun-jo's budding feelings about him more complicated.

To My Beloved Thief Episode 2 recap: Yi-yeol's search for Eun-jo begins

In the previous Episode of To My Beloved Thief, Eun-jo kissed Yi-yeol and ran away. While he tried to follow her, she quickly escaped, leaving him confused. In Episode 2, he tried to look for her and also to understand why she did it. He tried to find out the meaning of the kiss from the palace women without disclosing why he was asking. However, his bodyguard Dae-chu guesses that it might be related to Yi-yeol.

Meanwhile, Eun-jo is also left with indescribable feelings after not being able to apologise to Yi-yeol, and talks to her mother about the same, without telling the whole truth. While they both are reeling with their own emotions, Eun-jo goes on to become Gil-dong and carry out another theft. This time, she steals rice from Chief Kim's house and gives it to a poor woman in her village.

To My Beloved Thief Episode 2 recap: Yi-yeol meets Gil-dong

While Gil-dong was discreet with her stealing in To My Beloved Thief, Chief Kim finds the woman in whose house the stolen rice was kept. However, when he tries to punish the poor woman, Eun-jo saves her, telling him about the woman being her patient and also suggesting that someone else leave the rice in the woman's house.

Meanwhile, the King still refuses to believe in Gil-dong, the righteous thief. Later, in the episode, Yi-yeol ends up meeting Gil-dong without knowing she is Eun-jo and makes a deal with her. He tells her that he doesn't mind her stealing from the rich and giving it to the poor, but also asks her to do it in a limited way so as not to get caught.

However, as he tries to talk to Gil-dong, a couple of guards notice the thief and try to catch him, resulting in Eun-jo thinking that this might be Yi-yeol's plan all along, and she escapes before the guards catch her. Later, Yi-yeol stops the guard from pursuing Gil-dong but gets hurt. He still tries to follow Gil-dong but loses her, instead goes to Hyeminseo to get himself treated, and surprisingly meets Eun-jo again.
