CBS' action drama series Tracker Season 3 is here. The premiere episode titled "The Process" dropped on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

It picks up right after the events of the Season 2 finale. However, two pivotal characters are missing from the premiere episode: Eric Graise's Bobby and Abby McEnany's Velma. Where are they? Are Graise and McEnany leaving Tracker? Here's what we know about it.

The premiere episode starts on a rough note. Colter struggles as he finds it hard to process the truth of his father's death. He starts a fight in a bar when he sees a jerk harassing a waitress, and Russell rescues him. Back at the camper, Russell confronts him for staying aloof, but Colter assures him he's fine. Colter finally reveals the mystery about their father's death to Russell. Russell cannot grasp their mom's involvement in their father's death.

In the Season 2 finale, Colter found out that it was Otto Waldron who pushed Ashton Shaw (their father) off the cliff because Colter's mother, Mary, wanted him to do so. However, Season 2 left the viewers on a cliffhanger about whether Mary really asked for her husband to be killed, and if so, why?

Returning to Tracker Season 3, Episode 1, Russell then calls Reenie, and although she is annoyed, she assigns them their next task. However, we do get a hint of where Bobby and Velma are in the episode itself.

Where are Bobby and Velma in the Tracker Season 3 premiere?

Bobby and Velma remain absent throughout the premiere episode of Tracker Season 3. But we do get to know what they are up to. For instance, when Randy, Bobby's cousin, explains how he's now helping Reenie in place of Bobby because he apparently got a new job. He tells Reenie that Bobby has got the job of an encryption specialist at a startup.

As for Velma, Reenie reveals she's gone to visit her wife, Teddi. When Randy asks for some help, she tells him that it was Velma who knew where the equipment was. When he asks when she might return, Reenie gives a vague answer, revealing she isn't aware of it, but she knows that she's gone to Teddi to save their marriage.

Did Eric Graise and Abby McEnany leave Tracker Season 3?

Back in Tracker Season 1, Velma's wife, Teddi (Robin Weigert), was written off. However, Abby McEnany's Velma Bruin remained even after Teddi's departure. She helped Reenie throughout Season 2, so her sudden departure in Tracker Season 3 was a shock to many.

In July 2025, TVLine reported (exclusively) that both Abby McEnany and Eric Graise had left Tracker. In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Elwood Reid explained:

"We didn't 'replace' Velma or Bobby. It's about where I get the most creative juice. And now, with more characters in the office, we can tell other stories and build out what her world looks like when she's not helping Colter."
