Tulsa King Season 3 finale recap – Jesus Lizard

Tulsa King Season 3 finale finished many storylines. It showed Dwight’s personal revenge, business plans, and tricky alliances. It also sets up spin-offs and future seasons.
Season 3 introduced Russell Lee Washington Jr., a mercenary from Newark, who owed a debt to Quiet Ray. Ray forced Russell to try to kill Dwight, promising freedom if he did it, or death if he refused.
When Russell arrived in Tulsa, he couldn’t go through with it. Dwight saw that Russell’s loyalty to Ray was weak. He realized Ray planned to kill Russell anyway. Dwight and Russell worked together to defeat Ray’s hitmen. This freed Russell from Ray’s control.
Russell was inspired by Dwight and decided to go to New Orleans and start his own business, hinting at the spin-off NOLA King.
In the Tulsa King Season 3 finale, the main story was about Montague Distilleries, a major liquor business. Theo Montague wanted to sell it to Jeremiah Dunmire, but his daughter Cleo disagreed.
Dwight saw a chance and tried to buy it for himself. But Jeremiah wanted control of Tulsa’s booze business. He killed Theo and used illegal methods to push Dwight out. When that didn’t work, Jeremiah kidnapped Joanne, the legal owner. He hoped to force Dwight to give up or risk his sister’s life.
Jeremiah wanted to use Joanne as leverage. His son, Cole, didn’t know about the kidnapping at first. Later, he felt guilty about his past actions and switched sides. Cole told Dwight where Joanne was. He also gave important information: A map of the Dunmire estate, the number of Jeremiah’s men, and their weapons
This helped Dwight and his team plan a careful attack in the Tulsa King Season 3 finale. They also kept Goodie, Spencer, and Cole safe and out of danger.

Dwight and his team got weapons from Rickett the Cricket and help from Bigfoot’s network. They attacked the Dunmire estate. Jeremiah’s men couldn’t fight back against Dwight’s organized crew. Under pressure, Jeremiah left Joanne behind, and Dwight rescued her safely.
After saving Joanne in the Tulsa King Season 3, Dwight chased Jeremiah. The fight was brutal. Dwight beat Jeremiah and hung him over a fire pit. This was revenge for the Montague family and their suffering. Dwight’s actions ended Jeremiah’s terror in Tulsa. Cleo was not there, even though she had the strongest reason for revenge.
Meanwhile, FBI Agent Musso’s subplot also ended. Dwight captured Deacon, the arsonist Musso was after. He forced a confession from Deacon.
Dwight used it to get two things: Freedom from federal control and a Federal Basic Permit to sell Montague Distilleries’ bourbon legally.
Dwight gave Musso the confession on a pen drive, but kept Deacon’s body location secret. This ended Dwight’s problems with Musso and helped his business.
During the Tulsa King Season 3 finale, politics continued between Margaret and Thresher, a gubernatorial candidate. Thresher wanted Margaret in his administration to gain political advantage. He knew about Dwight’s criminal activities and wanted to use Margaret. Margaret agreed to keep negotiating after the elections. This gave Dwight indirect influence in politics through her.
Tulsa King Season 3 ended with a celebration at Bred-2-Buck Saloon. Dwight’s crew survived the conflict without any deaths. They enjoyed a moment of victory. Russell said he would build a criminal empire in New Orleans, hinting at the spin-off NOLA King.

Dwight and Musso finalized their deal: Musso obtained the confession and was satisfied, and Dwight got personal freedom and could expand his distillery.
However, the finale left some unfinished stories:
- Cleo didn’t get her revenge, so her story is not finished.
- Thresher becoming governor could cause political problems for Dwight.
- Dwight’s bourbon business, growing nationwide, might make new enemies.
- Other characters, such as Spencer, Tyson, and Cole, still have unresolved stories, which could affect future seasons.
Season 4 of Tulsa King has been officially confirmed and is in production. Paramount+ announced it before Season 3 premiered. Sylvester Stallone and the main cast are returning. New cast members include Gretchen Mol, who will be a series regular.
Season 4 is being made without a single showrunner. Instead, a group of writers is writing scripts. Also, no single showrunner is physically on set.
