Tulsa King Season 4: Everything we know about the next installment in the franchise

Tulsa King has established a niche in the streaming world. A combination of old-fashioned mobsters, moments of funny-new-guy-in-town, and a few unexpectedly emotional undertones have made Dwight Manfredi (portrayed by Sylvester Stallone) a rarity in television as a lead character, a dangerous man who somehow remains someone you would bump into at the neighborhood store.

The third season concluded with a lot of smoky, high-stakes drama on November 23, 2025, and Paramount+ wasted no time confirming the story wasn't done. Tulsa King Season 4 has already been renewed and is currently in production as the bigger Taylor Sheridan universe continues to expand around it.

The following is a breakdown of what we know to date (spoiler-safe), where we think the plotlines are going, who we expect to come back (or perhaps come into the cast), and how the filming schedule would impact when we can see Dwight back on the TV again.

What’s next for Dwight in Tulsa King Season 4?

Tulsa King Season 3 put real pressure on Dwight on all fronts: the distillery turf war, the kidnapping of his family, and the bloody fight with the Dunmires. The finale leaves Tulsa King Season 4 with a lot of loose ends to follow. The consequences of the Dunmire estate assault by Dwight are virtually bound to bring in new trouble through the vengeance of the old-money families, renewed pressure from New York mobsters like Quiet Ray, and the law enforcement agencies that now have personal interests in taking him down.

A political twist was also added in Season 3. The growing relationship between Dwight and Margaret, along with her acquaintance with the governor's office, is a new frontier of war whereby crime and politics intersect. Tulsa King Season 4 has the opportunity to explore corruption, legal politics, and the ugly ethical decisions involved in making a difference in high places.

And the wild cards!. Characters that appeared marginalized, as well as those introduced later in the season, such as Russell Lee Washington Jr., played by Samuel L. Jackson, allude to the larger world-building of Tulsa King. His spin-off, NOLA King, could just as easily collide with Dwight and allow Tulsa King Season 4 even more space to form new allies, new rivals, and a new path for the franchise.

Sylvester Stallone is still the core of the series and is likely to lead Tulsa King Season 4, but the series' expanding ensemble is becoming its actual strength. The main actors, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Garrett Hedlund, Chris Caldovino, and McKenna Quigley Harrington, will remain vital as the shaggy little band of Dwight develops into a legitimate business.

The third season included a lot of big names as guest stars whose stories appear to be unfinished. Samuel L. Jackson’s Russell Lee Washington Jr. was presented as a person with long-term potential, whereas Robert Patrick, James Russo, and Kevin Pollak brought new conflicts and new grudges that might continue into the next season.

The world is also being further extended in Tulsa King Season 4. It is also reported that Gretchen Mol will become a Tulsa politician, and the show is now looking at the local powers and the games of politics, rather than just the mob wars. And as Terence Winter returns as chief writer and also showrunner this time, Tulsa King Season 4 would naturally draw in heavier character actors that would suit his Boardwalk Empire-style of storytelling.

Timing and production realities

Tulsa King Season 4 has already been renewed by Paramount+, and production has already begun, although a definite release date has not been confirmed. The show traditionally debuted in the fall, so that is the most probable window, assuming that everything goes as scheduled.

However, it was reported that the fourth season went through some backstage problems. Crew layoffs have taken place, and the show does not currently have a consistent showrunner, with studio executives overseeing the show temporarily. Terence Winter is on board as a writer, though not running the day-to-day production. Such changes may occupy the season or make it less speedy.

Nonetheless, the high streaming rates of the show and Paramount’s desire to further develop the franchise have led to a rushed production for Season 4 following the release of Season 3.

The actual schedule will be determined by location shoots, time schedules of the cast members (the schedule of Stallone, particularly), and the release plans of the studio. In the meantime, Tulsa King Season 4 is expected to release in the fall, but we will have to wait until Paramount+ announces the release date.
