Dwight Manfredi's empire is expanding in Tulsa King Season 3, but with it, the risks for the mob king and his entire crew are also on the rise.

Season 3 returned to Paramount on September 21, and new episodes are set to premiere exclusively every Sunday.

As several new actors join Sylvester Stallone this season, some connections continue to blossom in this new season. Most importantly, Stallone's Manfredi's love interest, despite his own attempts to break up with her, is one of them.

Dana Delany, who plays Margaret on Tulsa King, revealed some details about what can be expected of their relationship in this season.

By the end of the second season, when Dwight is ripped from their bed by federal agents with little to no information, it did not seem like his and Margaret's relationship would survive his status as a mob boss. However, Margaret is nothing if not a strong-willed woman who doesn't let anybody or anything except herself decide how her life goes, not even Dwight himself.

Sylvester Stallone's Dwight concluded that Margaret would be better off without him, as his life brings with it a plethora of problems and risks for her. He then breaks up with her; well, he at least tries to. Dana's Margaret is not one to give up that easily. She's faced with the decision to maybe let go of this man she's in love with for the sake of "safety".

Delany explains:

"Well, I think Margaret has to decide, is this the life that she wants? And I think you can imagine what her answer is. And I think that coming from Oklahoma and being a strong woman herself, she likes that he's a bad boy."

So, in the premiere episode of Tulsa King Season 3, she tracks him down just to inform him (much to his delight) that she is still his girlfriend.

"I think that she likes that, even though he is a bad boy, he has a code of honor."

In her recent conversation with Collider, Delany revealed that moving forward in the season, the relationship will blossom into something more as the two fall more in tune with each other:

"So there's a lot of scenes this season that Sly seems to enjoy writing, where we're kind of in bed having discussions a lot and reading in bed, like an old married couple, which is kind of funny when you think about Sylvester Stallone in bed with glasses reading."

However, she also went on to add that even though their relationship gets to a point where they're akin to an old married couple, being mob adjacent comes with its own set of cons. At one point during Tulsa King Season 3, Margaret will be faced with the dilemma of losing herself in this relationship with a mob boss, who is very much involved in crime:

"I think she has some questions about it. But she knows that she loves this big lug. And she wants to be part of his world. So she's kind of on the periphery. She's mob adjacent. She's kind of doing things behind the scenes to help him. At some point, I think she's going to have to look at herself and think, "Who have I become?" "

What does this mean for Tulsa King Season 3 and their relationship

Even though the premiere episode of Tulsa King Season 3 opened on an emotional yet heartwarming note for Margaret and Dwight's relationship, it makes sense that the reality of Dwight's life will be a challenge for Margaret.

Being the crime boss turned businessman, yet still a crime boss, does mean that Margaret will find herself adjacent to crime at times. Her love for Dwight might overpower that nagging thought in the back of her mind most times.

But, according to Delany's comments, the third season will put her in positions where she has to look in the mirror and listen to the voice in the back of her head. This would definitely force her to question the extent of her feelings for Dwight.

Nevertheless, Dwight Manfredi might be a crime boss, but he's one with a heart. Considering that is the thing that made Margaret fall in love with him, the reminder might help her get through the dilemma. Good thing we have the entirety of Season 3 and an already renewed Season 4 to explore the duo's relationship.
