Netflix's latest K-drama, Our Unwritten Seoul, stars Park Bo-young in a dual role. The upcoming slice-of-life K-drama will see the actress take on two contrasting twin sister roles and will arrive on Netflix on May 24.
The story follows two twin sisters, Yoo Mi Rae and Yoo Mi Ji, who decide to swap identities after Mi Rae suffers a severe setback at work. Growing up with their life motto of helping each other out no matter what, the sisters decide to apply this motto to their adult lives and take on each other's lives.
Naturally, Mi Ji and Mi Rae's web of mistaken identities and lies in Our Unwritten Seoul will create many problems for them, especially when they individually cross paths with Lee Ho Soo (Jinyoung) and Han Se Jin (Ryu Kyung Soo).
It would be interesting to see whether they will become allies or reveal their secrets to the world.

Park Bo-young to play two different characters in Netflix's Our Unwritten Seoul
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon fame Park Bo-young is all set to play dual roles in Netflix's Our Unwritten Seoul.
Not only are the two sisters that Bo-young plays in this upcoming K-drama contrasting in personalities, but also in looks. While Mi Rae is a complete Seoul woman, dressed in black formals and tightly combed hair, Mi Ji is a free spirit who dresses in bold colours and also has blonde hair.
Mi Rae works at a big government agency and the posters hint at a sadness in her. In comparison, Mi Ji is more chirpy and lives life according to her own terms. When Mi Ji discovers that her seemingly perfect twin sister is harbouring a secret of her own, she gets worried.
She learns that Mi Rae has been struggling with workplace bullying for a year, and thus, the case of swapped identities begins. Bo-young not only plays two starkly different characters but also those characters pretending to be others.
Our Unwritten Seoul will unlock a new level for the actress with many layers of performances and swapped identities.
While Mi Ji will start living in the city by taking her sister's place, Mi Rae will try her hand at agriculture in a countryside farm. Sisters' strategic plan will work just fine until Jinyoung's Lee Ho Soo enters the picture and crosses paths with Mi Ji (pretending to be Mi Rae).
Ho Soo, an old batchmate, has always been able to tell the two sisters apart and thus, a game of suspicion begins between the characters.
What has Park Bo-young said about her contrasting roles in Our Unwritten Seoul?
Talking to Soompi, Bo-young discussed about her upcoming K-drama and why she decided to pursue it:
“The story of the two sisters, Yoo Mi Ji and Yoo Mi Rae, felt special. I thought this could be a once-in-a-lifetime experience and, in a way, a great opportunity for my acting career.”
Talking about her contrasting characters, she said:
“Mi Ji is a bit more playful, while Mi Rae is calm—that’s the most obvious contrast.''
Bo-young added:
“Both Yoo Mi Ji and Yoo Mi Rae hide their flaws and emotional wounds. However, Yoo Mi Ji has a sincere charm that allows her to connect with others and open people’s hearts. On the other hand, Yoo Mi Rae’s charm lies in her quiet, steady, and faithful dedication to always doing her best in any situation.”
Our Unwritten Seoul will arrive on May 24, 2025 on Netflix.
