Untamed Episode 4 aired on July 17, 2025, and opened with a flashback of Lucy wearing her mother’s yellow dress while revisiting her childhood home. In the present, Kyle and Naya return to the caves and find Abuelo’s jaw and body, confirming he was killed a week ago.
Kyle tells Gloria, who shows no emotion. Background checks begin on the squatters, and Lucy’s DNA confirms Rory wasn’t her father. A man named Matt Sturge identifies Lucy as Grace McRay. Meanwhile, Summer tells Naya about Lucy’s secret boyfriend, Terces, and their connection to the drug trade. Kyle and Naya follow Pakuna.
In Untamed Episode 4, Kyle and Naya locate Abuelo’s remains inside the cave, confirming he was killed about a week ago. They find his lower jaw first, followed by the rest of his body deeper inside. Kyle immediately informs Gloria, Abuelo’s ex, but she shows no sadness. The team discovers signs of violence and suspects his murder was connected to the ongoing drug operation.
Rangers search the squatter village and uncover more evidence, including pills, but most squatters refuse to cooperate. Kyle and Souter begin background checks. Gloria is questioned but claims the drugs were for cancer pain and that she knew nothing else.
Kyle lets her go. Naya keeps searching for more connections and later learns from Summer that Lucy and Abuelo had some kind of bond. They used the gulch for swapping drugs and cash. Abuelo was likely executed by the gang for betrayal, based on Pakuna’s later visit to the drug ring.
In Untamed Episode 4, the discovery of Abuelo’s body changes the direction of the investigation. Kyle begins to believe all the park cases, Teddy, Lucy, and the drugs, are connected. The jawbone, the location, and the timeline of death all tie Abuelo’s murder to the operation running under the park’s surface.
Untamed Episode 4: Lucy’s real identity is revealed through DNA and an old photo

In Untamed Episode 4, Kyle learns that Rory Cook wasn’t Lucy’s biological father, thanks to the DNA results. This confirms that Lucy had been hiding her real background. Shortly after, a man named Matt Sturge arrives at the ranger station claiming he once knew Lucy as Grace McRay. He shares a church photo of Lucy with a family in Nevada. He says Lucy used to live with a pastor’s family and left about ten years ago.
In Untamed Episode 4, Matt says she told people she had reunited with her real family, but no one could confirm it. He gives Kyle the photo in hopes of claiming the reward money. Kyle is now convinced that Lucy’s disappearance as a child and her later reappearance in the park are tied to something deeper.
He shows the photo to Souter, who’s skeptical, but Kyle insists it’s worth pursuing. Naya is briefed, and they begin tracking Lucy’s movements before her death. The reveal shifts the case from a recent murder to a years-old missing person mystery. Lucy’s entire life story begins to change. Her use of a false name, her avoidance of DNA tests earlier, and her connection to the church photo suggest she’d been hiding for a long time.
Untamed Episode 4: Summer reveals Lucy was dating someone involved in the drug ring

Summer tells Naya that Lucy had a secret boyfriend named Terces, a nickname Lucy made up, which was the word “secret” spelled backwards. According to Summer, Lucy started changing after meeting Terces. She began disappearing for days, returned bruised, and eventually started dealing drugs for him. Summer says Lucy never talked much about him but seemed emotionally affected.
Naya finds out that Lucy and Terces used a gulch as a drug drop point. Lucy was often seen with Abuelo and Pakuna. Summer also confirms she saw Lucy the day she died. Naya relays all this to Kyle, and they both agree that the boyfriend could be tied to the drug operation.
The detail about the gulch leads them to search the area more carefully. Summer’s statement makes it clear Lucy was deeply entangled in something dangerous. Her connection with Abuelo and the fact that he was later killed raises more suspicion.
Naya takes Lucy’s bag and starts looking through it. Kyle also looks and finds a photo showing Lucy with a man’s hand on her shoulder, but the face is cropped out. This new information points to the drug ring being more personal for Lucy than they previously believed.
Untamed Episode 4: Pakuna unknowingly leads Kyle and Naya to the gang’s hideout

Kyle tells Milch to release Pakuna without supervision and watch where he goes. Pakuna returns to the squatter village, collects a flashlight and gas mask, and heads straight to the cave. He walks deep inside the tunnels and meets the rest of the gang making the gold X pills. Kyle and Naya wait outside and intercept him as he exits.
They now know the cave system is the main base for drug operations in the park. It’s also where Abuelo was likely killed. The operation had been running under the radar, using the old mine as a cover. Pakuna doesn’t resist when caught, and he’s brought in for questioning. Kyle believes he’ll talk under pressure.
The cave's layout and the need for gas masks suggest the ring had been active for a while and was using arsenic-heavy areas to stay hidden. Kyle and Naya now have a solid lead and physical proof connecting the gang to both Abuelo’s death and the larger pill operation. The decision to tail Pakuna cracks open the case in a way that hadn’t been possible before.
