Upload Season 4 marks the final installment of the sci-fi comedy drama. The Robbie Amell-starrer series is counted among the underrated gems of Prime Video due to its fresh concept and perfect blend of science fiction and comedy genres.
The show is set in a world where people can be uploaded to a digital afterlife following their deaths. When Nathan Brown, a computer engineer, undergoes a similar procedure, all hells break loose.
Upload Season 4 is set to debut on Prime Video on August 25, 2025. The season will tie up all the threads and is expected to provide a thrilling conclusion to Nathan’s story. Let’s check out when new episodes of the series will be dropped.
Upload Season 4 release schedule
Upload Season 4 is going to be the shortest season so far, featuring only four episodes. The entire season will be dropped at once on Monday, August 25, 2025, on Prime Video. This is in contrast to the previous chapter, which released episodes weekly. Prime Video usually releases new episodes at 12 am PT / 3 am ET. Here is the complete release schedule:
Robbie Amell talked about the shorter length of the season in an interview with Nerd Reactor. He said that while the number of episodes has been reduced, each features some power-packed moments, and it feels like the show is concluding with a feature-length film rather than four episodes:
“Even though we only have four episodes, they’re very big episodes. They are very fast. They’re kind of nonstop and we pack a ton into them and it’s like a two and a half hour movie to end the show.”
What will happen in Upload Season 4?
Nathan Brown and his friends have one final challenge to face in the season, as AI has turned evil and is threatening to destroy Lakeview, the virtual reality world where people are uploaded.
Not just that, artificial intelligence is also threatening the real world, setting up an unprecedented situation for the characters. The official logline for Season 4 reads:
“In the four-part final season, sentient AI rapidly turns evil, threatening to wipe out Lakeview (and the world). On top of greedy executives, lingering mysteries, plus heartbreak in VR and IRL, our characters are tested like never before. The only way they can get through it all and save humanity from deletion is by teaming up one last time.”
Created by Greg Daniels, the show stars Robbie Amell as Nathan Brown, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid Kannerman, Andy Allo as Nora Antony, Kevin Bigley as Luke Crossley, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha Morrison-Downey, Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy, Josh Banday as Ivan Spelich, Andrea Rosen as Lucy Slack, and Jessica Tuck as Vivian "Viv" Brown.
