"Very happy to play these characters": All Her Fault Star Jake Lacy opens up about being in his "villain era"

All Her Fault, the newest thrilling ride featuring a family drama, sets the stage with a distinct level of danger from the get-go. The series with eight episodes dropped on the very first day of its release. It cannot be denied that All Her Fault is truly a binge-watching gem. It will keep you hooked until you get to the very bottom of the case.

The series features the story of a distraught mother in search of her son. Soon, the search for her son brings forth a multitude of complications on her way, which she needs to face head-on to finally find the truth. Jake Lacy, in an interview with Collider, reveals some interesting insights about his character, which can be denoted as the continuation of his “villain era”.

It cannot be denied that many of the projects that Jake Lacy takes on feature his characters in a complex and often negative light. It is truly an indication of his acting prowess, which features his ability to completely embody the roles he takes on. All Her Fault is also not an exception. This series also sheds quite a negative light on Jake Lacy’s character, Peter Irvine. However, Peter is hardly a simple villain. He is “complex” and “multi-layered”.

These attributes put Peter in the spotlight of the story. It is also truly intriguing to witness the manner in which the series seamlessly blends the aspects of past and present to indicate the reason behind Peter’s nature. Jake Lacy admits that he is “very happy to get to play these characters” that are “multi-dimensional”. It is rare to see family dramas come with such a distinct level of thrill throughout. The level of tension that the series features comes from the secrets that the characters hold within themselves.

Jake Lacy indicates that his “goal” is to “work with good people on good material”, which he truly does if we look into the projects that he works on. It cannot be denied that he chooses his projects that perfectly enhance his acting prowess. While speaking about his character in All Her Fault, he admits that there is a “lot of justification” for the “actions” that he takes on in the series.

He does not do anything without a proper cause, and his past is quite an influential factor in Peter’s actions. Peter is “very generous, supportive, and compassionate”, which can be seen throughout the series through his actions towards his siblings.

In All Her Fault, Marissa Irvine’s life takes a turn when she finds out that her son is missing. She reaches another student’s house, where her son was supposed to be having a playdate; however, it is revealed that the house is different. This leads her to get completely taken aback by the situation and begin a frantic search for her son. The search for her son leads her to connect with Jenny Kaminski, who also helps her in searching for her son.

However, this leads to further complications as secrets that could completely shatter their lives begin to unfold for both families. Past secrets come to the surface as well. Sarah Snook truly does a perfect job in depicting the frightening state of Marissa. Jake Lacy also admits that Sarah Snook is the “greatest” and also “sets a very high bar in a lot of ways”. He reveals his experience while filming with her, indicating that she comes with a distinct level of “humility and generosity”.
