Marvel has cast another Star Trek: Picard star for Vision Quest, the upcoming MCU series set to be released on Disney+ in 2026. At a Star Trek Las Vegas panel, showrunner Terry Matalas revealed that Star Trek: Picard star Orla Brady has been cast as F.R.I.D.A.Y., the artificial intelligence that Tony Stark used after J.A.R.V.I.S. transformed into Vision.
Speaking about the production, Matalas said working with Marvel has been a
“wonderfully collaborative experience.”
Vision Quest casts Star Trek: Picard star
F.R.I.D.A.Y. first made her MCU debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), quickly becoming Tony Stark’s trusted AI voice within his Iron Man suit. Previously, the character was voiced by Kerry Condon. Condon is also known for playing Katie Hopgood in Bad Samaritan (2018), Siobhán Súilleabháin in The Banshees of Inisherin (2022), Fara in Skeleton Crew (2024-present), Stacey Ehrmantraut in Better Call Saul (2015-2022), and Kate McKenna in F1 (2025).

Orla Brady's casting in Vision Quest, marks the first time F.R.I.D.A.Y. will be portrayed by another actor other than Kerry Condon in the MCU. Known for her role as Laris on Star Trek: Picard, Brady is expected to bring something fresh to the AI, while keeping the character’s original loyalty and wit intact.
Paul Bettany will be returning to reprise his role as Vision in Vision Quest. It will be his first appearance as the character after WandaVision. James Spader is also reprising his role as Ultron, a decade later, since he last appeared in the MCU in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).
T’Nia Miller is going to star as Jocasta, a Marvel Comics character originally created by Ultron as his bride, who eventually turns against him and sides with the Avengers. At the same Star Trek Las Vegas panel where Terry Matalas announced Brady's casting, he also revealed another casting. Matalas announced that another Star Trek: Picard star, Todd Stashwick, will be playing Paladin, an assassin tracking Vision to steal his technology.

Other cast members include Ruaridh Mollica as Tucker and Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., the Stark-designed AI defense system last seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home. Faran Tahir is reprising his role as Raza, leader of the Ten Rings from the first Iron Man movie. Despite being presumed dead, his reappearance adds another layer of mystery to the story.
Terry Matalas is the director and showrunner for Vision Quest. Executive producers for the upcoming MCU show include Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, Trevor Waterson, Christopher J. Byrne, and Matalas. Roopesh Parekh serves as producer. The exact story of the show is yet to be revealed, but it will explore Vision’s journey to find meaning after his rebirth in WandaVision.
Vision Quest is not the only show releasing in 2026. The second season of Daredevil: Born Again is set to be released in early 2026. The second season of X-Men ‘97 is also set to be released next year, along with Spider-Man: Brand New Day, set to be released on July 31, 2026. Lastly, the most anticipated MCU film, Avengers: Doomsday is also releasing next year, on December 18, 2025.
Vision Quest will be released on Disney+ in 2026. WandaVision is streaming on Disney+.
