Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 may have a panel at a Comic Con. We already know that the second season, an adaptation of the second book in the Percy Jackson series, The Sea of Monsters, is set to release on Disney+ this December. However, we don't know what the upcoming season looks like, except for a small teaser from August 2024.

Now, Leah Jeffries and Walker Scobell, who play Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson in the series, have given a possible release window for the first teaser or look of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2. They were interviewed by TVLine recently on May 28, 2025. In this interview, both Leah and Walker addressed the issue of the second season's first look.

We might get the first poster or teaser of Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 in July or August:

The three actors attended the 2025 Disney Upfront presentation a few days ago. In that presentation, A TVLine interviewer asked Walker Scobell and Leah Jeffries about the poster or trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2. Leah Jeffries was the first to answer this question, as around August or September, a timeline similar to the first season.

However, Walker Scobell had a more definite period for an answer. His exact words were:

“Look out for the Comic-Cons… like July”.

Firstly, it is important to note that Scobell did not say SDCC or San Diego Comic-Con, which is scheduled this July. Simultaneously, it should be noted that for now, the actors are providing a rough estimate, and their words should not be taken as a definite answer. We might get the poster for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 at one of the Comic-Cons, and footage from the season might be released separately.

However, Disney might have a panel to promote Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 at the upcoming SDCC this July. It is worth noting that the popular fantasy series had a presence at the July 2024 San Diego Comic-Con, where Daniel Diemer was announced to play Tyson, the Cyclops half-brother of Percy Jackson. Therefore, the series might possibly return this year too.

What is Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 about?

As mentioned above, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 is an adaptation of the second book, "The Sea of Monsters", released in April 2006. A follow-up to 2005's The Lightning Thief, Percy, Tyson, and Annabeth have to sneak out of Camp Half-Blood to help Grover, who is in danger. On the way, they briefly meet Clarisse, who is an official quest from the camp to retrieve a mythical object.

The said mythical artifact can heal the poisoned Thalia's tree to enforce the magical shield. The synopsis for the book reads:

"When Thalia’s tree is mysteriously poisoned, the magical borders of Camp Half-Blood begin to fail. Now Percy and his friends have just days to find the only magic item powerful to save the camp before it is overrun by monsters. The catch: they must sail into the Sea of Monsters to find it. Along the way, Percy must stage a daring rescue operation to save his old friend Grover, and he learns a terrible secret about his own family, which makes him question whether being the son of Poseidon is an honor or a curse."
