"Was just so emotional about leaving": The Real Housewives of Orange County star Katie Ginella recalls the Persian New Year party

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 19 Episode 8 aired on August 28, 2025. The latest episode of the Bravo show titled Truth Tellers & Lie Detectors featured housewives attending Emily's Parsian New Year party.

One of the activities at the party was a lie detector test. Things heated up when the test results were revealed. One of the housewives, Katie Ginella, in her August 28, 2025, exclusive interview with Us Weekly, opened up about the test results.

Katie recalled her conversation with her husband and shared how she felt:

"I think after the Persian New Year party, there is the biggest shift in the whole season. I was gutted. I was saying to my husband last night, I was like, Thank you for letting me rot in bed for a few weeks. I was just so emotional about leaving."

During her August 28, 2025, interview with Us Weekly, RHOC star Katie Ginella opened up about the aftermath of the lie detector test. She noted that it was the "biggest shift" of the current season. After the Persian New Year party, Katie felt "gutted."

While housemates attended the Persian New Year party, they learned about one of the activities. It was a lie detector test. They answered a few questions involving fellow housewives. Later, when the test results were revealed, everyone learned that Katie lied about several answers.

Later, the host, Emily, asked her to leave. Reacting to the test results and Emily's reaction, Katie confessed to the cameras:

"No one is going to believe me, but I can lay my head at night knowing I told the truth. This might be the last time anyone sees me with this group of women."

Additionally, during the interview, Real Housewives of Orange County star Katie also shared her thoughts on the "biggest misconception" among the cast members.

"That I'm a plotter and a planner, and I'm just spreading a web of lies with everyone. I don't think I'm capable of that."
