CBS's Watson is slowly building on the Sherlock Holmes canon, as it introduced another important character from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's works.
Episode 10 saw John working on a strange medical case, which saw him pair up with Detective Lestrade. A familiar name for Sherlock Holmes fans, Lestrade is played by Rachel Hayward in the CBS series.
On the other hand, both Shinwell and Derian were targeted by Moriarty, who is likely planning his next move on John and will strike back again.

Watson Episode 10, titled The Dark Day Deduction, will air on CBS on April 27, 2025, at 9 pm ET/PT. Viewers can also stream the episode live on Paramount+ with a Showtime subscription. Essential subscribers to Paramount+ can stream Episode 11 the day after it airs.
According to IMDB, the official synopsis for the upcoming episode reads as:
"Watson confronts a past trauma from his days in the military when an Army friend's wife reaches out for help, concerned her husband is having a psychotic break. Meanwhile, Moriarty has one final task for Shinwell."
With only three episodes left in Season 1, the show will likely reveal Moriarty's master plan for Watson. The synopsis suggests that Moriarty will strike back and recruit Shinwell with a final task, which will create problems for John.
On the other hand, the upcoming episode will also offer a glimpse into John's past in the army, when a friend's wife from the army will approach him for help. Considering John's past in the army, the upcoming episode will see the doctor helping one of his friends during his psychotic break.
John solved a strange murder mystery in Episode 10
Season 1, Episode 10 saw a strange murder mystery when a patient named Cameron Phipps walked into John's clinic with an unusual request. Since he had the Alien Hand syndrome, he wanted John to amputate it, but the doctor was against it.
John was forced to pay heed to Cameron's wishes when he was admitted into his clinic with severe burns, claiming that his left hand had poured acid on him against his will. While John planned to perform an experimental surgery on Cameron that would disconnect his left hand from his brain, Cameron's alien hand woke up once again, and this time pushed his older brother in front of a moving bus, killing him.
While John is initially convinced that Cameron did not intend to kill his brother, a meeting with his house help suggested otherwise. He learned about the Phipp family's strange 'Promiscuity gene' and how Cameron's meat business was in shambles.
Together with Shinwell, he concluded that Cameron willingly pushed his older brother in front of the bus to make himself the sole heir to their family fortune. Watson concludes and closes this case, deeming Cameron guilty.
