"Way too young to be in this kinda shape": Dangerously Obese star Dr. Charles Procter shares concerns about Natalie's health

Dangerously Obese Season 2 premiered on October 22, 2025. The TLC show features Dr. Charles Procter, a renowned bariatric surgeon, helping individuals towards better health.

Fans must know Dr. Procter from TLC's 1000-lb Sisters and 1000-lb Best Friends. The show's premiere featured one of the cast members, Natalie's meeting with the doctor.

After weighing Natalie, Dr. Procter shared his concerns. He told her that she was way "too young" to be in such a shape. He also shared possible risks associated with the shape Natalie was in:

"You know, you're 28 years old. You're so...way too young to be in this kinda shape. This is a way to a quick death. There are people even in 20s, every day in this country, who die. Just because of the...the size."

Dangerously Obese Season 2 Episode 1: Natalie meets Dr. Procter and learns about the significant risks associated with her weight

The recently premiered Dangerously Obese Season 2 featured Natalie visiting Dr. Procter. While consulting her, the first thing the doctor asked was to get Natalie's weight checked.

In her private confession, Natalie confessed that she couldn't remember when she got on a weighing scale last time.

"I'm very nervous about the scale because, honestly, I can't remember the last time I weighed myself. Regular bathroom scales, they don't go that high," confessed Natalie.

As she got on the weighing scale, Dr. Procter noted the weight: 655 lbs. He told her that she was way too young to be in that shape. It noted that it was a way towards "quick death." He told her that she was 28, but there were individuals in their 20s dying every day because of their size.

In his private confession, Dangerously Obese's Dr. Procter noted that most people think that because they are young, it would be fine. But they don't understand the health conditions they face with their weight. Sharing more about Natalie, he stated that she had no future unless she were to get started with really aggressive course of treatment.

"She does not have long to live. I don't know if she realizes that. I think a lot of people think, well, I'm young and...things can get better in the future. She has no future unless she does really, really aggressive things at this point to try to lose that weight," shared Dr. Procter.

He told Natalie that she was a high-risk patient. He also noted that she was out of breath after walking across the room.

Dangerously Obese's Dr. Procter told her that he won't take her case on unless he were to witness a "monumental effort" from her.

"So we're gonna see you back in two months. We'll talk about operating on you when you drop below 600 lbs," said the doctor.

In her private confession, Natalie noted that her goal was to lose 55 lbs. However, she added that she had no idea how she was going to do that.

Later in the episode, Natalie went to weigh herself a week after following a new diet. Her brother an animal hospital where they had a required size weigh scale. Soon, she got on the scale and it showed 667.5. She realized that, contrary to losing weight, she had been gaining it.
