After impressing audiences on Paramount+, Halo has arrived on Netflix and reached a new set of viewers. An adaptation of the video game franchise of the same name, the show is set in the 26th century and revolves around a war between humanity and the Covenant, an alliance of alien races.
The show premiered in 2022 and earned positive reviews from critics, but it was canceled after just two seasons in 2024. The move left fans disappointed as the storyline ended abruptly without a proper conclusion.
Now that the show is rising through the streaming charts on Netflix, fans are once again demanding Halo Season 3. Audiences have taken to social media to request that Netflix pick up the series for another chapter.

Halo was added to Netflix's catalog on October 1, 2025, and it has acquired a massive viewership within a few days of its release. Social media is now flooded with posts from fans who want the streamer to make a third season of the action science fiction drama. One fan took to X to write that they are willing to pay more for Netflix if the streamer renews Halo for Season 3:

However, despite all the requests, Halo Season 3 has not been renewed yet. Neither Paramount+ has decided to continue the series, nor has Netflix decided to pick it up for another chapter as of now.
Why was Halo canceled after Season 2?
In July 2024, Paramount+ announced its decision to cancel the show after two seasons. While the official reason for the move was not revealed, reports suggested that the high cost of the show was not being justified by its ratings.
Additionally, despite critical acclaim, the series failed to impress a section of the audience, who were disappointed by its deviation from the original video game's lore. All this led to the cancellation, and Paramount+ eventually released a statement which read:
"We are extremely proud of this ambitious series and would like to thank our partners at Xbox, 343 Industries and Amblin Television, along with showrunner and executive producer David Wiener, his fellow executive producers, the entire cast led by Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief and the amazing crew for all their outstanding work. We wish everyone the best going forward."
Developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane, the show starred Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief Petty Officer John-117, Shabana Azmi as Admiral Margaret Parangosky, Olive Gray as Commander Miranda Keyes, Kate Kennedy as Kai-125, Yerin Ha as Kwan Ha, and Natasha Culzac as Riz-028.
The rest of the cast included Bentley Kalu as Vannak-134, Charlie Murphy as Makee, Jen Taylor and Christina Bennington, Natascha McElhone as Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey, Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066, and Danny Sapani as Captain Jacob Keyes.
Halo Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Netflix.
