Netflix has been suspiciously quiet about updates regarding the release of the penultimate season of The Witcher. Even though it was previously announced back in January 2025 that Season 4 would premiere in 2025, the lack of updates from the streamer led fans to believe that the season release would be delayed into 2026.

However, recent reports from the Redanian Intelligence suggest that the Netflix show might still debut with its fourth installment, and Chris Hemsworth star as the leading man in 2025.

Netflix's The Witcher Season 4 release date: Here's what we know

The Continent is on the helm of completely uncharted territory, with Liam Hemsworth portraying Geralt after three seasons of Henry Cavill's Geralt of Rivia. Ever since this announcement was made in 2022, fans have been nervous yet excited for the fourth season of The Witcher.

In January 2025, Netflix announced that Seasons 4 and 5 were being shot back-to-back, covering the three remaining books from Andrzej Sapkowski: Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake, which has fans extremely excited for the last two seasons of the show. However, despite the January announcement, the streamer has been silent about The Witcher Season 4 release date.

According to the Redanian Intelligence, Netflix is still on track for a 2025 release of the show. The outlet, generally on the nose when it comes to updates on the Netflix show, has concluded that Season 4 will be released in late October. While the exact dates are unavailable, considering the upcoming Netflix slate of releases and premieres, it appears as if The Witcher Season 4 could premiere on October 30, 2025.

The release date is not an official announcement from Netflix, but considering the fact that Netflix begins promoting its releases a month prior to its premiere, there is a high chance that the streamer will announce this release date very soon and begin promoting the penultimate season by the end of the month.

The reports also suggest that the streamer will be adopting a different release schedule for the penultimate season than its recent titles, like Wednesday, Squid Game, or Stranger Things. Reportedly, Netflix will premiere all the episodes for Season 4 at once instead of one volume at a time.

If the show is indeed in post-production and preparing for an October release, the wait for Liam Hemsworth's Geralt and the other characters' return might not be as long as earlier anticipated.

However, only time and an official announcement from Netflix will confirm the release date for the show, so we will have to hold on for a few more weeks to receive confirmation.
