While San Diego Comic Con is now underway and it is a time of celebration and chaos for fans of comics, the cast and creators of the show will have a bittersweet moment as they talk about the upcoming season of the show, while also missing the presence of Chance Perdomo.
Hamish Linklater spoke to his Gen V co-stars Jaz Sinclair, Maddie Phillips, and others, and mentioned that “You guys are gonna have the best day of your life.” As the spinoff of The Boys, the show drops its second season in September of this year, the show has made it a point to pay tribute to the late Chance Perdomo.
The rising star died in a motorcycle accident just before the show’s production began, and the series’ creative team decided to revise the plot to honor the actor and his character.
Showrunner Michele Fazekas told Variety that “It felt really important” that the show pays tribute to the late star in Season 2. “The things I’m most proud of, when you watch the entirety of the season, he is there the whole way, in a way that feels real—because it is real. I’m very proud that we honored him from beginning to end.”

But I think it was good.” She couldn’t say any more as she began to tear up. Finally stating that, “I’m happy that we were all there to do it.”
Even Derek Luh states emotionally that, “The cast, crew, and writers did an amazing job…banding together and making something special.” Jaz Sinclair also spoke emotionally and said that, “it’s important to honor him and I think we do that.”
