It's been almost a year since Silo Season 2 wrapped up, and viewers are eagerly waiting for the next chapter. In December 2024, it was renewed for two more seasons. It was also revealed that the fourth season would be the final installment. Season 4 would conclude Juliette Nichols' journey.At the centre of the story (set in post-apocalyptic times) is Juliette Nichols, who unravels deep, dark secrets of the silo. Silo is a protected underground multi-level structure where thousands of people live, bound by strict rules and regulations. Turns out the residents are often exploited and manipulated by the ones in power. He further added that there's a lot of visual work to be done, and that's taking time.Shows like these usually take ample time during their post-production due to their complex visual effects (VFX). Additionally, the sound design, editing, and color grading to achieve that futuristic setting also takes ample time. Season 2 approximately took eight months for post-production. If we go by those numbers, Season 3 might release by mid or late 2026.Additionally, we'll also get to know more about new characters in Season 3, which include Daniel, a Congressman (Ashley Zuckerman), and Helen, a journalist played by Jessica Henwick.Silo Season 4 is currently filmingZahn further said that they are currently filming Season 4 and revealed that there are loads of action sequences in the final season. He said,"We're in 4 right now. We're in the middle of 4, and it's the biggest show. There's so much going on. Season 4 is really cool. There's a lot in 4. It spreads out all over. It gets really cool. There's a lot of action"Since Season 4 filming is underway, there won't be a massive wait time between Seasons 3 and 4. Although little is known about its filming locations, according to a BBC News report, some of the scenes are shot at County Hall in Hertford. Apparently, the city council also received a generous amount from the production to use the location for filming purposes. As per BBC News, it's £77,440. Previously, it was also used for filming My Oxford Year, Grantchester, Code of Silence, and Prime Target.
