We Were Liars is an upcoming Prime Video series that has been compared to HBO’s The White Lotus ever since its official trailer came out. Based on E. Lockhart’s 2014 novel of the same name, the psychological thriller series revolves around a group of elite young adults who call themselves Liars.
At the center of the narrative is Cadence Sinclair Eastman, who spends every summer at her family’s private island with the rest of the Liars. However, when Cadence faces a tragic incident one summer, it changes everything for the group, and some dark secrets come out.
