Wednesday's relationship with Tyler, the Hyde, is one of the most interesting aspects of the Netflix show. While Jenna Ortega has an amazing screen presence as the titular Addams, moments where she shares the screen with Hunter Doohan's Tyler Galpin make for some of the most immersive experiences.
The chemistry that bubbles between the two, paired with their hatred (a thin line between hate and love), means fans are always looking forward to her encounters with Tyler and his Hyde side.
Now that Season 2 has been wrapped up, there are many unanswered questions about how the Netflix show will move forward in the upcoming season.
Miles Millar, the co-creator of Wednesday, recently gave some insight into one of the possible directions that the third season will explore. Keep reading to find out what he revealed about the third season and why this is really great information for fans.
Wednesday co-creator reveals a new direction that will be explored in Season 3

In the final episode of Season 2, Tyler asks Wednesday to kill him, but instead of doing this (something she's been saying she wants to do all season), the titular Addams instead releases him. This out-of-character action from the titular teenager just fueled her complex relationship with the Hyde.
The second season appeared to have revealed a lot of Hyde mythology, with more of Tyler's family being introduced. But as we explored the secrets that Tyler's family held and the surprising decision that he made at the end of the season, one thing became clear: there was much mythology around this creature and the character that we didn't understand yet.
You’re told these things, but then once you get into it, you realize, Oh, is there more to it? Is there a way around it? People have had this condition. It’s like living with a terminal illness that you know is going to kill you, but it’s somebody always looking for a way to live when you’ve been handed a death sentence.

The co-creator expressed this in a conversation with The Wrap and added that the third season will explore all these aspects. From the ramifications of Tyler's decision to leave with Isadora at the end to the lore that surrounds this creature, the next season has "lots to explore."
Throughout the first two seasons, we've had this idea that a Hyde could only survive if it had a master to control it, but Tyler, who doesn't want to be alone, has been betrayed time and again by these older women who take this position. So, even though he knows he's not going to be able to survive without a master, Tyler fights his mom, and by the end, he's alone yet again.
There’s a great moment in the climactic fight on the rooftops between mother and son, and you see the moment where Francois lets go, she’s dying anyway. And at that moment, and you see the panic in his eyes, and where’s he going next? What’s gonna happen to him? Even though she’s kind of the worst mother in the world, but he is now alone again.
At this moment, he doesn't have anything left to lose. When Isadora approaches him and offers him the chance to join a pack of Hydes, where he doesn't have to have a master and instead will exist as equals with his kind. Tyler doesn't trust the concept but has nothing to lose. So, he decides to join Isadora.
The third season will deal with the ramifications of this decision while diving deeper into the Hyde mythology, according to Millar's comments.
I think he is more accepting of his Hyde self. But also, there’s a self-hatred there, and what that means. It’s lots to explore in season 3, but certainly it wasn’t our intention to get any more into the Hyde’s mythology this season.

The fact that Tyler's story and the Hyde mythology are going to be a big part of the third season means we might even witness more interactions between him and Wednesday. However, Wednesday does have some more pressing matters on her hands at the moment: what with Enid being stuck in her werewolf form alone and scared in the woods.
Wednesday Season 2 ending set up some surprising and interesting cliffhangers for the next season, with Tyler, Isadora, Enid, and finally, Wednesday's aunt's mysterious and dangerous psychic vision. These cliffhangers have made the wait for the next season even more exciting and rewarding.
