Following the announcement of Wednesday Season 2, fans knew that the next chapter was going to be even darker. But what no one expected was that Wednesday would experience a psychic vision of her closest friend, Enid Sinclair’s death.

Yes, you read that right. Netflix has recently released a new trailer for Season 2, in which the goth princess experiences a psychic vision featuring a tombstone with Enid’s name on it. In the very next moment, Enid's ghost also appears in the vision, accusing Wednesday of causing her death.

So, does that mean Enid will die in Wednesday Season 2? Well, nothing has been confirmed yet as the new chapter will drop on August 6, 2025. But what we do know from the trailer is that Wednesday will do everything to save her roomie, as all of her psychic visions are about the future.

As seen in Season 1, Wednesday wasn’t thrilled to room with Enid. Their worlds couldn’t be more different, with Enid loving color and Wednesday embracing only black. Yet, Enid stuck around and showed that she was the kind of friend Wednesday didn’t know she needed.

So, will Enid survive? Keep reading below to know more about the upcoming season.

As mentioned above, the newly released trailer of Wednesday Season 2 is out, and fans are now worried about the fate of an adored character, Enid Sinclair. This terrifying moment even shakes Wednesday to the core, causing black tears to roll down her face.

She tells her mother, Morticia, that it is her fault and vows to do everything in her power to stop this tragic fate from happening. The upcoming season picks up with Wednesday returning to Nevermore Academy, but things are different now.

After everything she did in Season 1, she is no longer just the odd one out. Wednesday Addams is now hailed as the "saviour of Nevermore." Even the newly appointed Principal Barry Dort (Steve Buscemi) is delighted to have her back, with students asking for her autograph.

But Wednesday isn’t comfortable with being seen as a celebrity. Additionally, she is concerned about saving Enid, who dies in her vision. She can be heard saying:

"Secrets are the bedrock of the Addams family. The sooner I get answers, the sooner I can save Enid. Or die trying."

The trailer features Enid in danger, suggesting she will face life-threatening situations that only Wednesday can deal with, just as co-showrunners and executive producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar said:

"This season, Wednesday’s journey is darker and more complex as she navigates family, friends, new mysteries, and old adversaries, propelling her headlong into another year at Nevermore."

Season 2 will also shine a brighter light on the Addams family. Her younger brother, Pugsley, joins her at Nevermore, while Morticia and Gomez become more involved in her life at school.

There is also a new face in the family: Grandmama Hester Frump, Morticia’s mother, played by Joanna Lumley. She is someone Wednesday truly connects with and sees as an ally.

So, don't miss out on Wednesday Season 2, arriving in two parts: Part 1 on August 6 and Part 2 on September 3, 2025.
