The hype for Wednesday Season 3 is palpable, and with the confirmation from Netflix, the gothic horror series has only just started. Since the ending of Wednesday Season 2, fans have been abuzz with unresolved enigmas, cliffhangers that left their jaws dropping, and emotional suspenders.

The actual question isn't whether or not Season 3 is coming; yeah, it is definitely coming, but more specifically, what kind of creepy, unsettling, and mind-screw plot turns await us when Wednesday Addams returns. Season 2 ended in tragic and taunting ways, with Enid's final sacrifice, the strange revelations about Isaac Night, and even Lady Gaga's unannounced cameo, leaving everyone more in the dark than ever before.

As we begin anticipation for Wednesday Season 3, it's now time to ask the biggest and most surprising questions that can frame the next season.

Here are 5 burning questions left unanswered in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2

1. Will Enid ever return as a full-time alpha werewolf?

It was probably the most bittersweet journey of Season 2 that Enid Sinclair, Wednesday's ferociously loyal best friend, went on. By the season finale, Enid had been confirmed as a permanent alpha werewolf, and her shift left her emotionally and physically detached. Fans were grieving as she offered a raw, guttural sacrifice to save Wednesday, essentially leaving the existence she had.

But is that really the end of Enid's story? In Wednesday Season 3, that is the question looming. Can Wednesday restore Enid to life, or will her best friend be a lone wolf forevermore? If Enid does come back, will she remain the same quirky roommate, or will she become an alpha with a darker life?

2. How will Wednesday cope with losing her best friend

We’ve always known Wednesday to be the queen of emotional detachment, but the end of Season 2 proved that even she has limits. For the first time, Wednesday was forced to confront the real fear of losing the person closest to her heart. That subtle tear during the finale wasn’t just for show; it cracked the icy armor she’s so carefully built.

Wednesday Season 3 could very well explore how the Addams reacts to loss and love in her own twisted way. Does she go after Enid and try to rescue her? Or does she bottle it all up, for it to come out in even darker, more unexpected ways?

3. What is Lady Gaga's character actually plotting

Lady Gaga joined Season 2 as Rosaline Rotwood, a cryptic and powerful figure. While her own introduction to Nevermore Academy was rainbow-hued, what she is actually doing there is still one of the biggest unanswered questions. She definitely has more up her sleeve than she reveals to us, and that her introduction connects to the dark past of Nevermore has fans abuzz with conspiracy theories.

So what will Rosaline be up to in Wednesday Season 3? Is she getting Wednesday ready for something greater, or is she covertly working on an agenda that will put the Addams clan in harm's way? With Gaga's star power on board, don't worry, this plot is just heating up.

4. What happens next for Tyler and his Hyde transformation?

Tyler's long path throughout Season 1 and Season 2 had us all in anticipation. By the end of the season, Wednesday freed him from Isaac's evil device, but his Hyde powers are still just as deadly as before. Now that he's free, is he on a road towards redemption, or will his animal alter ego get the better of him with even greater ferocity?

Wednesday Season 3 must establish whether Tyler is a genuine friend or if he's predestined to remain Wednesday's biggest archenemy. Could there even be other Hydes in waiting to be unearthed?

5. Is Isaac Night the mastermind behind Nevermore's dark secrets?

The biggest Season 2 shock could have been that zombie animal Slurp owned by Pugsley was, in fact, Isaac Night, a crazy scientist. His equipment, particularly the reverse-outcasting technology, was so enmeshed with Nevermore's history, and the confrontation scene when his hand transformed into the origin of Thing was a gothic twist no one could see coming.

But was that the end of it? Or is Isaac Night a piece within a yet grander puzzle? Wednesday Season 3 might offer explanations for whether his work was merely the beginning of a far more evil scheme that includes the history of the Addams family.

Wednesday Season 3 is already hurtling towards being the darkest, most emotionally conflicted season thus far. With Enid's sacrifice, Tyler's in-limbo status, Isaac Night's revelation, and Lady Gaga's mysterious character all colliding into a hurricane of unanswered questions, there's no telling where it might go.

At its heart, though, the Wednesday season 3 will continue Wednesday's trajectory toward autonomy, friendship, and the squirm-inducing family dynamics of the Addams family. One thing is certain: audiences won't be watching for gory horror, though they very well could; instead, they'll be ears to the ground to see how Wednesday herself changes when she is pressed to her limits.
