Wednesday Season 3 was greenlit long before Season 2 was released, but nothing has been officially announced about when filming for Season 3 will begin or when it will be released. Given the cliffhanger on which Season 2 ended, fans are eagerly waiting for Wednesday Season 3. At the end of Season 2, it was revealed that Grandmama Frump had been keeping Wednesday's aunt, Ophelia, hidden all these years, and for some reason, she wants Wednesday to die.

Besides, Enid transformed into her werewolf self and ran away because she believes she should be by herself now that she can't turn back. Wednesday, Uncle Fester, and Thing are going to be looking for her in Season 3, which, as What's on Netflix reports, will begin filming in early 2026.

Wednesday Season 3 will begin filming soon

Wednesday Season 2 introduced a few characters, brought back Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems, and ended the season at a very interesting point. Tyler is now out of Willow Hill and has joined a secret pack of Hydes, Enid is out in the world on her own, and Aunt Ophelia wants Wednesday dead for some unknown reason. That is enough reason for fans to be excited for Wednesday Season 3.

Cero Magazine's interview with Hunter Doohan suggested that Wednesday Season 3 will start filming soon. The magazine reported that Doohan will be heading to film Season 3 after he wraps up filming Evil Dead Burn.

Now, What's On Netflix has reported that filming will indeed start very soon in February 2026. There isn't an official logline available for the upcoming season of the show, but Jenna Ortega told GamesRadar+ how she'd like for Wednesday Season 3 to go, saying,

"I would like them [Morticia and Wednesday] to stop arguing and team up. We'd just been talking about women banding together, and you see that a bit in the final episode, or episodes. I think we should lean into that. It's really exciting and refreshing to see women displayed that way."

Ortega would also like to see her character in a darker light, as she said,

"I think it's important to see Wednesday deal with the darker side of herself a little bit, too – but also never taking things too seriously. And I would like to see more death attempts between her and Pugsley. She doesn't try to kill him enough! I want to see stuff like that."

The only new cast member who has been confirmed to join Wednesday Season 3 is Eva Green as Ophelia Frump. Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Isaac Ordonez, and Luis Guzmán, among others, will be reprising their roles in Season 3.

The show has been created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who also serve as executive producers along with Tim Burton, Steve Stark, Andrew Mittman, Gail Berman, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Tommy Harper, Kevin Lafferty, Jenna Ortega, Kevin Miserocchi, Karen Richards, and Meredith Averill. The production companies behind the show are Millar Gough Ink, Tim Burton Productions, Toluca Pictures, and MGM Television.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Wednesday are streaming on Netflix.
