Charles Baker, in an interview, reveals that he loves “to play piano”, so when he found out that the creators were looking at the habits of the cast members, he wanted his piano skills to be featured in the series. While they were about to film the scene, Charles Baker “worked for the rest of the month” to hone his skills.

He worked for three hours each day to bring forth the entire song “perfectly”. He himself admits that he “worked hard” and then “went and shot it”. This scene in Breaking Bad definitely came out perfectly, just as he wanted.

Though Charles Baker prepared the whole song for this scene, they did not add the whole song. He continues about his distinct intrigue towards television. He admits that he likes that most times they “don’t get to find out everything” about the characters. For Pete, playing piano was a “complete turnaround”. Hence, it was extremely impactful.

The “learning experience” that Baker gains through the filming process of Breaking Bad is also crucial to him. He also adds that working with Bryan Cranston is like a study on “how to do it right”. It cannot be denied that, though Pete was not the main character in the series, his presence was crucial in navigating through the experiences of the other characters in the storyline.
