Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 2: Everything else you need to know
Now that we have the release schedule out of the way, the final chapter of Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 1 had some major twists and turns in store for us. So, in case Will accessing his powers has you forgetting everything else that happened this season, here's a quick recap:
Max returns
Well, she didn't return per se, since she is still comatose in the real world, but we get to see her in Vecna's mindscape, where it is revealed she has been hiding in a cave that Vecna himself was scared to enter. However, she does have a new companion in there.
Holly and the other kids are kidnapped
Despite the efforts of the Hawkins gang, Holly, as well as the rest of the children of Hawkins, is taken by Vecna into the Upside Down. While Max managed to take Holly with her into the cave and reveal the reality of Mr. Whatsit as Vecna, what Vecna has in store for these kids is still a mystery.
Kali also makes a surprising return
To everybody's surprise, the one narrative that has been considered out of place for the longest time is back into play as the final moments revealed that the military actually had been holding Kali hostage to try and control Eleven's powers. How she will come into play in the war against Vecna, only time will tell.
Vecna is building something dangerous and mysterious
Will has another vision, which reveals that Vecna is building something sinister in the Upside Down, something that looks eerily similar to the wormholes that Mr. Clarke was teaching Erica Sinclair's class. The kids that he has kidnapped surely have a role to play in this, but how or why is yet to be revealed.
There are several scenes from the official trailer that we have yet to see in Stranger Things Season 5, Vol 2. From those shots of Dustin crying while hugging Steve, Lucas carrying a comatose Max in the hospital elevator, Nancy on military standpoints, and so many more such visuals, Stranger Things Season 5 Vol 2 has a lot in store for us.
So even though it looks like half the war is won with Will being able to access Vecna's powers through the Hivemind and Kali's entry, defeating Vecna isn't going to be that easy. Especially considering that the Hawkins gang has no idea what Vecna is up to with the kids, so they have no idea what they are up against.
