Landman Season 2 stars address Ariana and Cooper's future as a couple

Ariana and Cooper's future as a couple seems to be a far-fetched dream at this point in Landman Season 2. A case of miscommunication led to Ariana and Cooper's breakup. However, her reasons behind the breakup were deeper than just the incident, so they need more than just communication to find their way back to each other.
In a recent conversation with ScreenRant, actors Chávez and Lofland discussed how, despite their characters' facing a lot of ups and downs in the season, their feelings for each other remain unchanged. Nevertheless, the two of them will have to put in efforts for each other if they wish to surpass all the issues that find their way between them, even ones that caused Ariana to break up with Cooper. Paulina Chávez explained how communication was going to be the couple's saving grace on Landman Season 2:
"Where are we? I mean, we’re learning the ropes. Relationships are hard. There’s a lot of conversations that need to be had, and like every relationship, it has its ups and downs, but their connection is very strong, so me as a viewer, I’m rooting for them."
Jacob Lofland even went on to add that since their relationship in Landman Season 2 is still new, there is a lot that they need to discuss and figure out on the way:
"Yeah, I mean it’s a continuation, so we’re just working through it and still figuring everything out. It is still new and it’ll continue to throw its roadblocks in the way, and we’re figuring out other pieces of life and aspect of life at the same time. So it’s a lot for the characters to build on or to understand."
Chávez and Lofland's comments about the problems that Cooper and Ariana may face in Landman Season 2 as a couple make it clear that, despite numerous roadblocks, they share a love that will help them get through them. Cooper did end up talking to Billy Bob Thornton's Tommy for advice, who asks him to try to find a middle ground between the two. It will be interesting to see how this plays out between the couple after the incidents in the second episode of Landman Season 2.
