Netflix's psychological thriller The Beast in Me keeps you hooked till the end. It has several blink once and miss it moments. The series delves into the life of Aggie Wiggs, an author whose life takes a sudden turn when a new neighbour with a shady past moves next door. Meanwhile, Olivia Benitez, a city council member, is not impressed with the project and wants it to be shelved.
Brian Abbott is an FBI agent who's keen on investigating the Jarvis. However, his supervisors advise him to keep a distance from Nile. But he does the opposite; he teams up with Aggie and plots to steal Nile's drive to track his location information via his fitness app. In the end, to protect Aggie, he lies to her, and he walks right into the lion's den, aka Nile's trap, and confronts him bravely. Unfortunately, Nile Jarvis kills Brian Abbott in episode 4 of The Beast in Me. He smashes his face with the gun.
What happened to Brian Abbott in The Beast in Me?
Brian Abbott's storyline in The Beast in Me takes a sharp and fatal turn in Episode 4. The FBI agent teams up with Aggie to find evidence against Nile. But Nile's too smart to be overpowered. When Abbott steals Nile's drive, he feels he is closer to the truth. Episode 4 begins with two men taking him to a mysterious woman named Simone. She tells him that she will encrypt the file for him, but she wants a favor in return when the right time comes.
However, the data isn't about his location details, but it shows a hidden video showing Teddy alive but held captive. The footage sort of confirms Nile's involvement. Abbott chooses not to reveal this to Aggie. He lies to her and tells her that the data is useless and urges her to drop the investigation. He then goes to confront Nile himself.
Abbott follows Nile to a remote spot. He pulls out his gun and asks Nile to put his hands on his head. Nile continuously tells him that it's private property and he cannot arrest him without a warrant. The confrontation turns deadly after Nile distracts him by telling him that he knows where Madisson is. Nile lunges, overpowers him, and beats him repeatedly with a weapon. The attack kills Abbot on the spot.
His death becomes a turning point. The files he retrieved remain in play. The footage of Teddy confirms Nile's crimes. Abbott's ruthless murder exposes how dangerous Nile truly is.
