What happened to Sophie in The Hunting Wives?

The plot of this TV show starts to get complicated after Abby’s murder. Questions begin to arise, and Sophie is suspected of the crime, especially since the weapon used to kill Abby was Sophie’s gun.

Sophie becomes increasingly entangled in the situation. Her husband, Graham, refuses to believe her and even tells her to leave the house, which ultimately forces her to stay at a shady motel.

Sophie’s past begins to unravel, which also fuels her suspicion of the murder. However, she was not the one who killed Abby. So, who did? It was none other than Margo. Yes, Margo was the one who, in a drunken haze, used Sophie’s gun and shot Abby.

The way Sophie discovers the truth about Margo is also quite intriguing. The tampons that Margo refused to use became the key link that helped Sophie connect the dots and understand what was really going on. She confronted her, and Margo revealed the truth.

Sophie might not have killed Abby, but she was not innocent in any way. The revelation of Margo’s truth led Kyle to begin stalking Sophie. Kyle did not like that Sophie was aware of what Margo did.

However, things did not turn out well for Kyle. While he was threatening Sophie with his gun, she could not tolerate it. Her survival instincts kicked in. She ran over Kyle with her car and killed him.

Throughout the series, Sophie goes through a lot. She gets involved in an affair, is suspected of Abby's murder, is even jailed because of the suspicion, and is removed from the house by her husband.

By the end of the series, she eventually kills someone herself. So, The Hunting Wives definitely lives up to its title through Sophie’s actions. After being accused of killing Abby, Sophie is cleared of all charges and returns to the house.

She tries to reveal the truth about Margo being the killer to Detective Salazar. However, Kyle intervenes, and she is unable to reveal the truth. After killing Kyle, she realizes she must hide the body because of her past. She decides to drown Kyle’s body.

The ending of The Hunting Wives leaves many questions unanswered, keeping us hopeful for a potential season 2. Sophie’s marriage with her husband is also left in a delicate state at the end.
