Stacy Beale does not merely play the role of the fed in Tulsa King, she is the shot of adrenaline that keeps driving Dwight Manfredi in his new life in Oklahoma. Andrea Savage portrays Stacy, whose character is an ATF agent who encounters Dwight in a rather unexpected situation. Initially, they engage in a little flirting, but very soon their relationship becomes a disastrous combination of favors, close calls, and dangerous decisions. Stacy's character in Tulsa King transforms a great deal over time.

In Tulsa King Season 1, she is a reluctant ally who keeps struggling with her professional life and her intimate attachment to Dwight. By Season 2, her decisions begin to influence her career and her life. She eventually comes to one big decision that alters her life and transforms everything between her and Dwight—a decision she can never revoke. Here is how we track her steps: who she is, what made her do what she did, and subsequently where that has left her by the finale of Tulsa King Season 2.

Stacy Beale is a senior ATF agent in Oklahoma, and this means that she is the logical counterpart of Dwight and his do-it-yourself empire. She is not the typical cop who only gets in the way, though. Stacy is clever, unattached, and dedicated to work, tending to be the most responsible person in the room—until Dwight comes along and throws her orientation out the window. Their relationship is not only a romantic arc but also significantly drives the plot of the story.

Stacy sees Dwight's old-school side and his flashes of tenderness, but she can also see that Dwight poses a threat to Tulsa. This places her as the moral center of Tulsa King. As she grows closer to him, she threatens her badge, and when she dedicates herself more to her badge, she threatens whatever actual connection they share. When things escalate (biker wars, bodies, and an increasing business), she becomes the very person who can change the future of Dwight and all he has. What she has that Dwight lacks is solid institutional power. That push/pull tension is what makes her appearance in the Season 1 finale of Tulsa King such a gut punch.

Moreover, her sessions with her therapist strip off her facade as a tough, independent woman, and we get a glimpse of the deeply humane person that she is. It introduces us to a highly relatable woman who, under the pretense of being in control of her emotions and desires, is, in reality, as vulnerable as anyone else.

The betrayal that stunned Dwight

Season 1 ramps things up. Stacy is drawn into the conflict between Dwight and Caolan Waltrip's Black Macadams and winds up getting shot in a shootout—an act that complicates things further between them. Dwight comes to see her later and gives her a flash drive with $1 million in it as a way of thanking her for her assistance and as a safety net after her injury. It might be a crime in the eyes of the law, but to Dwight, it is a gesture of expressing gratitude in his own twisted way.

When the ATF offers Stacy a chance to save her career on the condition that she takes action, she reacts in favor of her responsibilities. She arrests Dwight at the opening of his new casino with charges of attempting to bribe a federal agent. The episode comes to a close with a surprise: Dwight handcuffed, Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" playing in the background, and the audience wondering what is to happen next.

The courtroom fallout

In the first few episodes of Tulsa King Season 2, the plot returns to the flash drive. Was it a bribe or a poorly considered present? Dwight is acquitted of his charges because Stacy's statement in court proves that he did not actually bribe her. He is found not guilty, leaving him innocent of the offense but straining things between them: she had reported him, but he was set free.

Stacy had to face some consequences too. In Season 2, Episode 3, she bids Dwight farewell in a hallway, telling him that she is being transferred to Anchorage, Alaska. It is a kind of exile for her career; the badge might not be taken, but her position in the city is compromised. Her ending is bittersweet. In Season 1, her move saved the law, and in Season 2, she is punished for it—losing influence and being sent away.

With the new Season 3 trailer out on August 6, 2025, Tulsa King has expanded its horizon with new villains and changing alliances. However, we do not know whether Stacy will have a part in it. That does not diminish the fact that she played a key role in the previous two seasons.
