Netflix's latest drama series Untamed features a gripping murder mystery of an unidentified young woman, whose body is found in the Yosemite National Park.

As special agent Kyle Turner and his partner, Naya, the rookie ranger, are assigned to this case, they not only solve the mystery of their Jane Doe but Kyle also gets some much-needed answers about his son's death in the same park.

Naya finally solved the primary mystery of Jane Doe's identity, who is identified as Lucy Cook, a teenager who went missing from the park in 2012. After Naya and Kyle discover that Lucy's father is not her biological father, the mystery of her death becomes increasingly twisted.

In the Untamed finale, it was revealed that Lucy actually died by su*cide, after jumping from the peak of El Capitan. However, she did this only to escape her biological father, who had already shot her in the leg and was partly responsible for her deadly actions.

More on this in our story.

While the mystery around Lucy's death was twisted in Untamed, a DNA test helped paint a clearer picture and Kyle finally discovered that his boss, Chief Paul Souter, is actually Lucy's biological father.

After this shocking reveal, Kyle takes Paul for interrogation, where the mystery of Lucy's death is finally solved.

As Paul confessed to Kyle in the Untamed finale, after he had Lucy with Maggie out of wedlock, he was scared about his reputation in the world, which is why he left the woman and their newborn daughter. Maggie remarried to a man named Rory, who grew increasingly violent over the years and Paul was asked to place Lucy with a foster home in Nevada.

However, as Kyle discovered in the Untamed ending, the foster home was equally dysfunctional for Lucy and after much effort, she escaped it and found shelter in the Yosemite National Park. As a teenager, when Lucy began living in the park as a squatter, she met Shane Maguire, who was running an illegal drug operation in the park.

Left with no other option, Lucy became a drug mule for Shane, which explains the X tattoo on her body, found by Kyle and Naya in the previous episodes.

What happened to Lucy in the Untamed finale?

As Kyle continued investigating Paul in Untamed, the final moments of Lucy were finally revealed and Kyle got closure about her death.

As Paul revealed, he had no contact with his biological daughter after he placed her with the foster home and was even unaware that she had run away and had involved herself with Shane.

However, the father-daughter duo were reunited when Lucy came back into Paul's life and started blackmailing him for money. She threatened to expose herself as his daughter, which would have tarnished his image in the public eye and he would have also lost his job.

Threatened about his job and family, Paul asked Lucy to meet up with him at the park, as revealed in the Untamed finale. Since Paul was fearful because of Lucy's bold behaviour, he carried a gun just in case, which threatened Lucy and she started running away from her father.

Desperate to talk to Lucy, Paul shot her in the leg to make her stop and chased her across the park, until they came to a dead-end, the peak of El Capitan. Confronted with two options, either to jump or surrender to Paul, Lucy chose the first one and jumped to her death from the cliff, where her body was found in the premiere.

After Kyle made Paul realise that he failed to protect 'his family' because Lucy was also a part of it, Paul also shot himself using his shotgun.
