What role does Ella Stiller play in And Just Like That? All about Ben Stiller’s daughter’s cameo in the show

And Just Like That might be in the news over its cancellation, but the show has also created some special moments. Ben Stiller’s daughter, Ella Stiller, has an important role in the show, and her parents could not be prouder.

Created by Darren Star, And Just Like That is a comedy-drama series that is a revival and a sequel to the popular 2000s show, Sex and the City. Featuring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, the show is about their characters, Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte, respectively, who must now deal with life and friendship in their 50s.

The show has other important characters, and Ella Stiller is one of them. The daughter of Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor, Ella was born in 2002, and her mother has been vocal about being proud of her daughter for landing a role in the HBO Max series.

In a podcast with Kristin Davis, Taylor mentioned that being a part of the show was Ella’s “dream job”. Even Davis praised Ella’s acting by stating that,

“you have raised an incredible human, but also so incredibly talented…she was such a joy.”

Ben also has a son, Quinlin Stiller, with Christine, and in an interview with E!, Ben Stiller also commented that,

“both my kids are actors…and they’re both really good, so it’d be fun to work with them.”

Ella Stiller’s role in And Just Like That

In the series, Ella plays the role of Mia, who works at a hair salon and gets pregnant by Miranda and Steve’s son, Brady. Brady informs that he and Mia only hooked up a couple of times, and both Miranda and Steve are shocked to learn the news.

While Steve threatens violence against Brady, Miranda decides to visit Mia and find out about her plans regarding the baby and if she wants Brady to be an active father.

Therefore, Ella’s first scene takes place when Miranda visits the hair salon and finds out that Mia is working with a full baby bump. Miranda does not disclose that she is Brady’s mother, and it is only when Mia says that Brady is her “f*** buddy” that Miranda reveals her identity. Mia is upset because of this and sprays her face with water.

Miranda tries to apologize to Mia about her interrogation and wishes to know whether the girl or a boy more when the baby is born. However, Mia responds by saying that “little boy or girl? You’re so binary,” and walks away. Her role is therefore amusing and sassy in And Just Like That.

Ella Stiller’s other acting roles

The daughter of Ben Stiller is not new to the world of acting, and apart from And Just Like That, she has voiced a character in Megamind and made an onscreen debut with her father in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. Further, she has appeared in Happy Gilmore 2, Escape at Dannemora, and Friday. The actress is also starring in an off-Broadway play called Dilaria. Therefore, the young actress is determined to make it big in the acting world.
