It is a lesser-known fact that Law and Order: SVU once saw Oscar-nominated actress Sharon Stone making an appearance. It was back in 2010 that Sharon Stone appeared in four episodes of Law and Order: SVU season eleven and played the character of Bureau Chief Jo Marlowe.
Following the four-episode arc, Stone hasn't been seen on Law & Order: SVU again, with the actress subsequently revealing that she wasn't satisfied with her performance and character on the CBS show and regretted her decision to portray Jo Marlowe.

Sharon Stone was Jo Marlowe on Law and Order: SVU
Sharon Stone rose to the heights of popularity after starring as Catherine Trammell in the 1992 film Basic Instinct. She was eventually nominated for an Academy Award for her portrayal of the character Ginger McKenna in the 1995 film Casino, directed by Martin Scorsese. Appearing on Law and Order: SVU back in 2010, Stone was seen on four episodes of the CBS show in 2010, viz. Torch, Ace, Wannabe, and Shattered.
Her character of Jo Marlowe, was a Bureau Chief and an ADA on Law and Order: SVU prior to which she was an NYPD officer. She quit her police job after two undercover detectives working for her died on her watch. She joined the Law and Order universe as an ADA on the Sex Crimes Bureau. Marlowe eventually came to suffer from an aggressive cancer on Law and Order: SVU that caused her to undergo a mastectomy. As a result of the surgical procedure, her relationship with her lover suffered, and she was reduced to terrible loneliness that wouldn't let her function properly. Following the morgue shooting in the episode Shattered, Marlow wasn't seen again on the CBS show.
Sharon Stone regretted playing Jo Marlowe
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Harper's Bazaar, Sharon Stone had previously revealed her regret for playing the character of Marlowe on Law and Order: SVU. She revealed:
"That was humiliating, having worked with the finest people in the industry, I was like, 'Wow, I'm really at the back of the line here. I'm wearing L'eggs panty hose, and in makeup they start out by putting this white primer on my face.' I'm like, 'This is so bad. What did I do to deserve this?' "
It is worth mentioning that during and around this time, while she was appearing on the CBS show, Stone was going through a rough patch in life. She recovering from an aneurysm that she had suffered in 2001. Alongside this, her marriage to journalist Phil Bronstein came to an end. Speaking about that time in her life, Stone remembered:
"I thought, 'You know what? I got thrown off the bullet train, and now I'm going to have to crawl up a hill of broken glass, get back on the train that's going a million miles an hour, and work my way from the cattle car up. That's just the way it is, so I'd better get humble and shut the fuck up and do the job. Because if I can't do this job, I'm certainly not going to be able to do anything else.' "
