Soon after its release, Alien: Earth became one of the most talked-about shows of the year. Created by Noah Hawley, it depicts a time just two years before Ridley Scott's original film from 1979, and XY is finally bringing the Xenomorph to Earth in shocking fashion.
In their first two episodes, Neverland and Mr. October, they introduce a storyline that is as much about greed, corporate influence, and greed as it is about monsters. The show features an entirely new set of characters like Wendy, Hermit, and cyborg security officer Morrow.
One scene from Episode 2 has also created a huge debate and speculation from fans. The famous Xenomorph, with its renowned extermination attacks, comes face to face with Morrow and it doesn't kill him. Instead, it looks at him, thinks, and responds in a way no one saw coming.
For anything so full of formal violence, it was peculiar not to kill him! Why? Are they bonded and in some conspiracy? Well, there are several clues from their episodes and flashbacks. There is more to Morrow and the Xenomorph than originally observed.
Why did the Xenomorph not kill Marrow in Alien: Earth Episode 2? Answer explored

The most plausible explanation is that the alien was distracted at the finish line. When the Xenomorph came face-to-face with Morrow, it took no time for terrified soldiers to wash the area. Whereas Morrow was calm and practically unreadable thanks to his cyborg state, the soldiers were loud, erratic, and terrified.
Morrow had previously warned the soldiers to stay calm because the aliens could sense fear. It turns out he was right! The Xenomorph may very well have found the noisy soldiers to be a more interesting target than a tranquil, mute Morrow. In that way, Morrow's lack of visible emotion might have preserved his life.
Also, Alien: Earth's early episodes have provided flashbacks of events aboard the USCSS Maginot, where the specimens originally broke free. In one of these scenes, Morrow seems to protect the Xenomorph itself. While Morrow is pointing the gun, it is not aimed at the alien, but rather at the crewman who was going to shoot the alien.
Apparently, Morrow's loyalty to Weyland-Yutani and the mission was so extreme that he would effectively kill colleagues to save the animal. If the Xenomorph has some degree of intelligence, something the franchise has teased in the past.
It's possible that it has remembered this strange display of protection. To the alien, Morrow was not simply prey; he was someone who had acted, for better or worse, on its behalf. To spare him in Alien: Earth Episode 2 may have suggested to the alien that he was useful, or at least different, but also that acting on its behalf is something it hates to do, or is indifferent toward at least.

Morrow’s connection with the alien in the Alien: Earth TV series
In Episode 2 of Alien: Earth, Morrow successfully fought off the Xenomorph, for the time being, with a taser rifle and a net fabricated from artificial webbing. This act was extremely helpful, as it saved Hermit’s life when the Xenomorph was about to take him.
However, the real shock comes afterwards. When the Xenomorph breaks free and begins to turn toward Morrow, it doesn't attack right away. It starts to turn and registrations Morrow, before moving its attention to the soldiers approaching.
This reluctance is surprising since the Xenomorph generally does not pause and attacks without a thought. The mere fact that it hesitates more than once clearly indicates a reason for the behavior.
Morrow is not like other humans. With his cyborg enhancement, he is less emotional and difficult to read, remains unsettlingly calm under pressure, and flashbacks inform us that he may have actually defended the alien during the Maginot incident.
Rather than treating Morrow as just another victim, the Xenomorph may see him as someone set apart, possibly even useful. While the show hasn’t revealed the full truth yet, this strange connection already feels central to both Morrow’s role and the alien’s behavior.
