Sullivan’s Crossing Season 2 dropped a massive twist in its sixth episode and the reveal has caused major repercussions for the show’s plot and characters.
Created by Roma Roth and based on the novel series by Robyn Carr, Sullivan’s Crossing features Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, and others. The show has three seasons and focuses on the life of neurosurgeon Maggie (Kohan), whose life changes when she is arrested for a billing fraud.
Her arrest led to her reputation being damaged and even though she was cleared of the charges, Maggie had to go back to her home town of Timberlake, Nova Scotia, to reunite with her estranged father, Sully.
However, Sullivan’s Crossing Season 2 Episode 6’s major twist reveals what Maggie’s stepfather Walter did to her and that is explained below.
What did Walter do to Maggie? Sullivan’s Crossing Season 2 Episode 6 reveal

While Maggie is initially wary of her life in Timberlake, she eventually grows close with her father and even finds love in Cal. However, all of this came at the cost of sacrificing her life in Boston and taking a hit to her reputation and career.
Therefore, when Sullivan’s Crossing Season 2 Episode 6 revealed that Walter was the one who was actually responsible for the billing fraud, Maggie’s world shatters completely. Maggie gets this news from her mother Phoebe, who tells her that her stepfather was arrested for billing fraud and their bank accounts have been frozen by the FBI.
This reveal is massive as Walter was a mentor and an established neurosurgeon that Maggie looked upon. Even Maggie’s father Sully was jealous of the closeness between Walter and Maggie. Therefore, Maggie is heartbroken that someone so close to her and whom she admired, could do this to her.
Phoebe tells Maggie that Walter was the one who was behind the whole thing, and worse, Maggie's ex-boyfriend, Andrew, was even aware of it, but he didn't tell her. While Walter tried to explain himself to Maggie, she did not want to listen a word and was furious that her stepfather could let her stepdaughter’s career and reputation go down the line.
What happens afterwards between Maggie and Walter in Sullivan’s Crossing Season 2

More truth comes out in Sullivan’s Crossing Season 2 Episode 8 as Walter tells Maggie, Sully, and Phoebe that the fraud occurred due to the stock market crash and he says that he thought he had everything under control.
Maggie is still angry with Walter for putting her career on the line and Walter is apologetic. He tells her that he invested in her practice via a loan and when the loan sharks became impatient, they began to blackmail Walter and even threatened to hurt Maggie.
In Sullivan’s Crossing Season 2 Episode 9, it is revealed that the medical board has allowed Walter to keep his license and he can make restitution. Ultimately, the close bond between Maggie and Walter has now broken.
