We now know how Elizabeth had to make the difficult decision to leave the town so that Little Jack could receive better medical care. Although she promised that she would never leave, her son's health condition took precedence. It was difficult to watch her packing and saying goodbye, but it also reflected her strength and love as a mother. It also seemed like the start of a new family, with Nathan and Allie deciding to go with her.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Bill, Nathan, and Rosemary finally found the hidden gold at the wishing well, all thanks to clues from Ernie’s old pennies. Ernie only wanted to help his niece, and Edie likely did not know about the gold. Lucas is now back in politics, and it’s unclear what his future with Edie will be.
Oliver also continued to grow and bond with Allie, while Angela, Timmy, and Emily graduated. The quilt for Angela was a sweet goodbye, showing how much Hope Valley cares for its own.
