Upload, the Prime Video sci-fi show set far into the future, is coming back with its fourth and final season. Despite receiving a lot of critical acclaim for its realistic message placed in a unique set of circumstances, the show has gone fairly unnoticed for the past three seasons.
Nevertheless, Upload is now all set to come back with the final season, which comprises four exclusive episodes, on August 25, 2025. The previous season ended on a massive cliffhanger, making this four-part finale much more coveted. Here's everything we know about the final season, along with some first-look pictures released by Prime Video.
Prime Video's Upload is coming back with its fourth and final season

The Emmy-winning writer Greg Daniels' Upload is set in the future, where technology has advanced to unimagined limits, and self-driving vehicles, holographic phones, 3D food printers, and AI assistance are the norm. This is a future where dying is not an inevitable reality of life. Provided you have the means to pay for it, you'll be "uploaded" to a virtual reality afterlife where you can enjoy all the comforts that come with a world-class resort.
Upload Season 3 ended at a mind-bending cliffhanger when it comes to the relationship front and the company's future. The IRL Nathan was dating someone, and the VR Nathan was dating someone entirely different, and the season concludes with a reveal that one of the two versions of Nathan has died, without revealing which one. We haven't even addressed the Luke and Aleesha kiss so far. The upcoming season has a lot of plot points to resolve.

Additionally, the incriminating details about Horizen that Aleesha got off of Karina's computer have also been sealed as part of the court settlement, after which the company rebranded itself as Betta, leading to no repercussions.
The four-part season 4 will hopefully bring about an appropriate ending to the series, as well as these plot points from season 3. The logline for the upcoming season reads:
"In the four-part series finale event, sentient AI rapidly turns evil, threatening to wipe out Lakeview (and the world!). On top of greedy executives, lingering mysteries, plus heartbreak in VR and IRL, our characters are tested like never before. The only way they can get through it all and save humanity from deletion is by teaming up one last time."

The fourth and final season is set to star Robbie Amell as Nathan, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Andy Allo as Nora, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, and Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy. Season 4 lists Greg Daniels as the executive producer along with Maxwell Vivian and Howard Klein.
So, make sure to catch up on the three seasons of Upload that are now streaming on Prime Video before the brand-new four-part finale makes it to our screens.
