Fin's desire to protect the innocent ones shines bright. This is especially when he saves the life of a young boy, while he gets stuck in the middle of a robbery.

Fin’s relationship with his son is also a crucial part of his character arc. Initially, they are estranged. However, as the series progressed, their relationship began to get better. In Law & Order: SVU, when Fin finds out about the fact that his son is engaged to Alejandro Pavel, he is taken aback.

He later becomes welcoming towards Alejandro, which further deepens Fin and his son’s bond. The aspect of Fin trying to become a better father to his son shows his dedication. Throughout the series, his career had a positive growth. From being a detective, he got promoted to a sergeant.
