Apple TV+ has formally released the release date of Invasion Season 3. The new season will be released worldwide on Friday, August 22, 2025, with the first episode streaming on launch day. After the premiere, a new episode will be published every Friday, finishing the 10-episode season on October 24, 2025.

The announcement addresses the question many have been asking since Season 2 ended in 2023. Apple TV+ says audiences can anticipate the show to maintain its global attack on a changing alien threat, gathering characters from across the globe on a crucial mission.

Release Schedule and Streaming Options

The third season of Invasion will be on a weekly release schedule, where one episode will drop every Friday on Apple TV+. The season has 10 episodes altogether. For bingers, Apple TV+ has affirmed that the whole season will be streamed after the finale, which will be on October 24, 2025.

What happened in Season 2?

Season 2 of Invasion starts months after the aliens' mothership is destroyed by humanity, but a bigger ship comes in, opening a bigger war. Humanity comes together as one united world under the World Defense Coalition to battle the now more aggressive aliens.

Mitsuki is brought into a covert facility in the Amazon to get psychic contact with the alien hive mind, putting her identity at risk to discover their vulnerabilities. Aneesha and her kids become part of a resistance movement known as the Movement, but find it difficult to trust them as they survive on the run.

Her son, Luke, finds that he has a psychical link to the aliens, and this is important in their perilous confrontations. Trevante, an ex-soldier, searches for alien activity in Wyoming and meets up with Rose in their quest for answers. Meanwhile, Jamila takes a group of children from London to Paris to locate Caspar, whose visions are connected to the aliens.

The climax of the season comes when Mitsuki makes a breakthrough on the hive mind, creating a portal on Earth, and the storylines of the main characters intersect as humanity launches a dangerous mission against the aliens' threat.

What to expect from Invasion Season 3?

Invasion follows the repercussions of an alien invasion from the point of view of individuals around the world. During Season 3, the show will turn its attention to a change as the primary characters, who have been working separately until now, are coming together for the first time.

Their goal is to board the alien mothership, confronting the most sophisticated type of alien kind so far—touted as "ultimate apex aliens" with lethal tendrils engulfing the world. The season will examine how these individuals must team up and deal with the threat and try to rescue humanity.

The new season will bring to the forefront group dynamics, the forming of new alliances, and the ability to bring people with varying backgrounds together under harsh situations.
