Lego Masters season 5 has featured clock-free chaos, waterfall builds, and record-breaking brick pits. Episode 7 brings another ambitious challenge. Titled Masquerade, the hour tasks the remaining duos with engineering a fully wearable LEGO mask sturdy enough to survive a grand entrance at a costume ball.

Host Will Arnett presides—as always—with judges Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard looking for flawless form and functional fit. Masquerade airs Monday, July 7, 2025, at 8 pm ET/PT on FOX, and streams the next day on Hulu. Cord-cutters can also watch the same night via authenticated FOX apps or live-TV platforms such as YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, and Fubo.

With only five teams still standing after the season's clock-vanishing premiere twist, the pressure is higher than ever. A single structural crack or wobbly strap could send a builder home just two episodes shy of the finale.

What to Expect from Lego Masters Season 5

Lego Masters Season 5 opened on May 19 with a major shock in the Brick Pit: the countdown clock disappeared. In a conversation with Variety, Judge Jamie Berard recalled, on premiere night,

“On day one, the builders said, ‘I wish that clock would go away,’ and it goes away—then they’re like, ‘No! Bring it back!’”

Amy Corbett agreed, adding on June 2 that building blind

“is totally wild—but we don’t want to make it easy for our builders.”

Since then, the season has rolled out themes as varied as Star Wars, Wicked, and a towering wedding cake. Berard, on June 16, called his “favorite challenge” the task of designing characters that plunge over a live, jumbo-sized waterfall.

Corbett explained that each idea is vetted by “a whole team” and isoften “years in the making.” There are extensive test builds to “push them further” and keep the series spectacular. Berard added that the global fan community feeds ideas back to Lego Masters producers, inspiring still wilder feats for future seasons.

Behind the scenes, Lego Masters Season 5 assembled more than 4.5 million pieces—over 15,000 pounds of bricks—sorted into 600 drawers, bins, and troughs, plus a mirror-image backstage stockroom for rapid restocks. Contestants have access to 3,500 different elements in 70 colors, and the minifigure wall alone holds more than 4,000 unique residents.

After every explosion or waterfall plunge, Corbett laughed on June 23,

“those pieces get absolutely everywhere,”

requiring a cleanup crew of more than a dozen people to spend a full week re‑sorting one episode’s bricks back into the pit.

Lego Masters has also expanded its builder tool kit. Motorized units, flexible tubing, and transparent elements now appear regularly, allowing teams to incorporate moving gears, lighting rigs, and wearable straps. These skills matter in Masquerade, where stability meets showmanship.

The judges will evaluate each mask on weight distribution and comfort. They will also look for the hallmark LEGO requirement: zero glue, zero support rods, all studs-only construction.

The build in Lego Masters Season 5 Episode 7 continues this tradition of complex and theatrical challenges. Contestants must balance artistry and engineering to create functional, expressive masks. The judging will focus on both aesthetic appeal and structural integrity, and with fewer teams left, each misstep can be costly.

Episode 7, titled Masquerade, premieres July 7, 2025, at 8:00 pm on FOX. As the stakes rise and creativity is pushed to the limit, viewers can expect another standout episode of Lego Masters.
