Here's everything that you need to know.
Young Sheldon: Mandy got pregnant on Babies, Lies, and A Resplendent Cannoli
Upon learning about Mandy's pregnancy on Young Sheldon, Georgie was initially at a loss. The firstborn son of George and Mary was unsure about how his parents would react to this news. It is interesting to note that Mandy's pregnancy happened eighteen years after Mary herself had become pregnant with Georgie, and she was unmarried at that time.
Georgie then took recourse to Meemaw's ex-boyfriend and his former boss, Dale, who directed him to immediately inform his father and threatened to drop the truth bomb himself if Georgie didn't oblige. By the end of the episode, Georgie was seen inviting his father to the garage before he confessed that he was responsible for making Mandy pregnant.
Young Sheldon co-creator Steve Molaro reflected on Mandy's pregnancy and its aftermath when he spoke with TVLine:
"It’s so loaded, with so many emotions and feelings among these characters. There is anger, and at the same time, there is understanding, which makes for a really interesting sandbox of stories to climb into.”
Molaro then commented on the possibility of Mandy getting an abortion:
"No… But obviously, Mary’s religion always plays a factor in these types of stories and will continue to — not on that particular level, but more on how they should handle this moving forward.… It’s certainly one of the (storylines) that will take us through the end of Season 5.”
Montana Jordan speaks about his character on Young Sheldon
Montana Jordan won several hearts with his moving portrayal of Georgie, so much so that he was featured on another spin-off show in the same universe. Speaking in an interview with Glitter Magazine, Jordan revealed the reason why he was drawn to the show and the character:
"When I first read the role of Georgie, I thought I was reading an autobiography. Everything lined up to my life back in Texas. I played football, and I always got in trouble for having a messy room. I mean I could sit here and name 100 things that me and Georgie have in common."
He then went on to relate his favourite part about playing Georgie:
"For me, the coolest part would be being able to play an older brother. I have two older sisters in real life, so I was always the youngest with them picking on me, but oh, how the tables have turned for this project. Missy and Sheldon better watch out."
