Sullivan's Crossing Season 4 is on its way to the small screen. The Canadian romantic drama series is based on Robyn Carr's (Virgin River) series of books, which earlier debuted on Netflix US.
Starring Morgan Kohan, the show is a co-production between Canada's CTV and the US's The CW, available to both Canadian and American audiences. With the first two seasons premiering on Netflix in July 2025, the show continues to expand to a wider audience base with each new season.
Sullivan's Crossing Season 4 was renewed by both CTV and The CW in June and July 2025, respectively, and will be released by mid-2026.
Carr's adaptation follows a neurosurgeon, Maggie (Kohan), who returns to her hometown in rural Nova Scotia after legal trouble. The show explores her story as she adapts to her surroundings and reconnects with her estranged father, Sully.
Kohan will reprise the role of Maggie in Sullivan's Crossing Season 4, along with the main cast, including Chad Michael Murray as Cal Jones, Tom Jackson as Frank, Andrea Menard as Edna, and Scott Patterson as Sully.

Exploring the speculations around Sullivan's Crossing Season 4 release date
After charming its way into the hearts of the Canadian audience (through CTV), Carr's romantic series found a wider audience and made its way into the US with The CW.
While the US network took its sweet time before renewing the show for Season 3, the viewership numbers proved worthwhile. It's a testament to the show's success that a month after CTV renewed Sullivan's Crossing Season 4 (in June 2025), The CW followed. Currently, Season 4 has been renewed by both CTV and The CW, and the series will return sometime in 2026.
Season 3 was renewed in April 2024 and premiered in July 2025, within a gap of 14 months. Since Season 4 was renewed in June 2025, considering the previous release patterns, Sullivan's Crossing Season 4 can likely premiere between September and October 2026. However, the networks have yet to confirm the official release date/window.
While fans eagerly wait for the upcoming chapter, the show unlocked a new milestone and debuted its first two seasons on Netflix in July 2025. In addition to its arrival on Netflix, the Timberlake-based series has already debuted on the platform's Top 10 charts, introducing a wider audience to Carr's world of romance and mystery.

Before the Season 3 finale, showrunner Roma Roth teased exciting twists for Sullivan's Crossing Season 4 in an interview with Collider:
“There’s never a dull moment at Sullivan’s Crossing...a romance drama series needs to have push and pull between your characters… we’re going to have a pretty big shoe drop at the end of the season that we’ll get to see play out in Season 4.”
We now know that the 'big shoe drop' teased by Roth was Liam, Maggie's summer fling, who returned to her life in the Season 3 finale. Maggie and Cal's relationship stood the test of time in the finale, after Maggie had to choose between her professional career and Cal. While Cal realized the importance of Maggie's medical career in her life (after Edna's surgery), she decided to stay at the Crossing with Cal.
Just when Maggie and Cal were heading towards their future together, Liam arrived, claiming to be Maggie's husband. This sudden twist is a major anticipation point for Sullivan's Crossing Season 4, which will likely shake things between Maggie and Cal.
In addition, the Season 3 finale also saw Sully leaving for a long trip to Ireland with his love and writer, Helen Culver. This left the future of the Crossing uncertain, and Maggie and Cal will have to step up to manage the Crossing in Sullivan's Crossing Season 4.
