Fans of the Korean original have been desperately waiting for an update on the much-awaited All of Us Are Dead Season 2 release on Netflix. Since the 2022 release of Season 1 and a quick renewal for another season, news regarding the show, much to fans' disappointment, has been scarce.
The show, on its initial release, ranked as the second most popular Korean original after Squid Game, expressing just how much fans have been looking forward to an update regarding the next season of the zombie horror series.
Recently, much to fans' excitement, there have been a few updates regarding the upcoming All of Us Are Dead Season 2, including the filming schedule, which might start as soon as August 2025. Here's everything we know so far.
All of Us Are Dead Season 2 reportedly set to begin filming in August 2025

All of Us Are Dead Season 2 was originally set to begin filming in 2024. However, this was delayed, and instead, it is reportedly set to begin filming in August 2025. This is extremely exciting for fans who've been waiting for some update on the show's release schedule.
According to What's on Netflix, the filming for All of Us Are Dead Season 2, set to begin in August, will conclude by the end of 2025, making a late 2025 or early 2026 release possible for the show. It might be three years too late, but fans are nevertheless overjoyed after learning about this filming schedule update.
There have also been reports about some new names joining the cast for the horror series about a zombie outbreak from the POV of high school students, including Seo Ji Hoon (Prison Playbook, Begins Youth, Tarot), Lee Min Jae(Weak Hero Class Season 2, Hide, Kick Kick Kick Kick), Noh Jae Won (Nam Gyu in Squid Games, Daily Dose of Sunshine and A Killer Parados), and Kim Si Eun(Squid Games).
Additionally, Yoon Chan Young, Lomon Lee Eun Saem, Park Ji Hu, Cho Yi Hyun, Im Jae Hyeok, Kim Bo Yun, and Ha Seung Ri will be reprising their roles in All of Us Are Dead Season 2. Roh Yeon Seo, on the other hand, will not be reprising her role in the second season due to some filming scheduling conflicts with her upcoming K-Drama East Palace, which began shooting in December 2024 and is yet to wrap up.
At the moment, there are no updates regarding the storyline that will be explored in the second season. However, director Lee Jae-Kyoo did reveal in a conversation with The Korea Herald a few details about the second season, which will be featuring even more evolved zombies and is set in a "fallen" Seoul:
"Many directions, settings and scenes were intentionally produced to expand the story into an additional season, including the introduction of the new races of zombies. If the first season can be seen as having presented humanity's survival, the next season can talk about the survival of zombies."
"The survival of zombies" is definitely an interesting way to describe the upcoming season, getting fans even more excited for the All of Us Are Dead Season 2.
