Imagine you're a 21st-century professional who gets transported to the past. That's the central hook of Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, the tvN K-drama that started streaming on Netflix.

The show centers around Yeon Ji-yeong (Im Yoon-ah), a talented chef, who gets pulled back into a part of the country's history. She finds herself stuck in the era of the Joseon dynasty. It leads her on a culinary adventure where she tries to learn the conventions of this older world, including rivalries and palace politics, to make the most of this situation.

Besides Im Yoon-ah as Ji-yeong, the cast includes Lee Chae-min as King Yi Heon, Kang Han-na as his concubine Kang Mok-ju, and Choi Gwi-hwa as a Joseon family member, the Prince. According to LynnTop, the show was filmed in locations across South Korea, which include the Video Theme Parks from Busan and Hapcheon and Mungyeong Saejae Open Set, among others.

These filming locations allowed the showrunners to showcase culturally relevant details of architecture and surroundings, which must have helped in the show's time-travel storyline.
