CBS' firefighter drama series Fire Country will return with its season 4 in October 2025, featuring the return of Bode Donovan.

Created and led by SEAL Team's Max Thieriot, the beloved procedural follows Bode, a young convict in prison who decides to give back to his Edgewater community. He enrolls in the California Conservation Camp Program and assists the Cal Fire crew in putting out fires across the region.

After being assigned to his hometown in Northern California, he sets out on a redemption path, working closely with his friends, family, and other inmates.

While Fire Country is set in Northern California, the majority of the show is shot in Greater Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada. The lush greenery of Canada and the surrounding areas doubles up as Edgewater, mimicking the perfect Californian aesthetic for the production.

Canada, a popular filming hotspot, is considered a much cheaper alternative than the US and is often the first choice for series set in California, San Fransico, and Texas.

Here are the key filming locations for Fire Country.

Revisiting key filming locations of Fire Country ahead of Season 4

1) Fort Langley, Langley, British Columbia, Canada

Starting strong, the charming small town of Edgewater comes alive in the historic village of Fort Langley, situated in Canada. According to the description on Parks Canada's official website:

''Fort Langley National Historic Site is a 19th century Hudson’s Bay Company trading post managed by Parks Canada...The site consists of a historic fort (12 wooden structures surrounded by a log palisade, a grassy orchard area, a parking lot with picnic area, and a wooded waterfront property.''

Having served as the backdrop to shows like Riverdale, Fort Langley serves as the perfect Edgewater for Fire Country, and the area's surrounding rivers and forests double perfectly as Northern California. The lush greenery mimics the aesthetic of the said town and is also close to other filming locations of the procedural.

2) Anmore, British Columbia, Canada

Station 42, home to Cal Fire crew and many Fire Country characters like Gabriela, Jake, Eve, and Vince, is another important location for the procedural. The Village of Anmore, located just north of Port Moody, forms another important part of the fictional Edgewater, and one of its buildings is modelled in Station 42.

The village, also featured in Smallville and Supernatural, serves as the home for the Cal Fire crew. While the firefighters are mostly working outside, the building acts as the perfect firehouse, giving a sense of home and community to the characters in the procedural.

3) Vancouver Film Studios, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

While Fire Country is mostly shot outdoors and features the Cal Fire crew fighting brutal fires in the wilderness, the procedural occasionally features indoor scenes. These scenes, set in Edgewater’s restaurant/bar & hospital and Sharon & Vince’s place, are crucial for intense scenes between the characters and bring much-needed emotions to the series.

Most of these indoor scenes are also shot in Vancouver, in the Vancouver Film Studios. Since the space can be modeled in any indoor setting, it is the perfect choice for the crew for scenes like key get-togethers, important conversations, and romantic date nights.

4) Rio Dell, Humboldt County, California, USA

While the majority of Fire Country is shot in Vancouver, according to Lost Coast Outpost, the procedural does include some aerial shots of California in the trailer.

These aerial shots cover Californian regions like Rio Dell, Eel River Valley, and Wildwood Avenue in Humboldt County, which sets the tone for the fictional Edgewater. While the procedural is shot in Vancouver, these shots maintain the authenticity and are the only real connection with the state.

Catch the season 4 premiere on CBS on October 17, 2025.
