The safehouse, which the terrorist, Shagan, uses in the series, is located at Shoreditch Town Hall. This scene truly adds a layer to the intense nature of the series. The hiding spot for Abigail and Sylvie was shot at Gaddesden Place in Hertfordshire.

Shepperton Studios became the filming location for the House of Commons. Along with it, the crew had to visit the Island of La Palma to shoot Dr. Anderson’s abduction scene. While discussing the filming on the island, Director Isabelle Sieb mentioned the difficulties they faced. She told Daily Express:

“On Las Palmas there were logistical issues that were really time consuming. For example, the car chase we shot there - which was one of my favourite things to do, because I love directing action - was tough because there's only small roads on the island, and just getting access to them with our multiple vehicles lead to a lot of time delays – which is time we never got back. So I often had to think on my feet and make sure that we get everything we needed, even though it sometimes meant that I had to let go of a few dream shots. Hopefully though, the viewer will watch the sequence and never know that it was challenging."

The Church of Notre Dame in Leicester Square was also a filming location in Hostage. It can be seen in the scene where the French President converses with her husband.
