Love Island UK season 12 started airing on ITV this month and brought forth a brand new look at the villa where the islanders will be staying. However, with the rise of its global counterpart, Love Island USA, which made it pretty clear that the show was taking place on an island in Fiji, viewers are curious where this original series is filming.
The villa is the most important location for the show as it sees the islanders staying and taking part in daily challenges while also giving them a chance to discuss their relationships and other drama.
The Love Island UK villa was popular for being filmed in Mallorca, in the Spanish islands, for the initial seasons. They shifted locations within the island, and for the majority of time, it was at Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. However, this changed after the 8th installment
The location has now changed again within Mallorca. The Love Island UK villa is now located in a rural place, which is near Artà and Manacor.

The Love Island UK villa, which is currently used by ITV to film their iconic show, is spacious enough to hold 12 people. It contains six bedrooms with six bathrooms, giving ample space and privacy to each of the islanders.
However, when the villa is empty and no series is being filmed, tourists can book the place and explore their Love Island UK fantasy themselves. But given the high demand and only a few dates available, it will be tough to book the same.
Other spaces in the villa include two lounges and a kitchen. The kitchen is not out in the open but is staged as such in the show to give the viewers an experience of an outdoor space where all the islanders can huddle around and spend their time. As for the outdoor features, the villa is equipped with a barbecue and an open shower.
The islanders living inside here are under constant surveillance all throughout their day, and the rules of the game are simple. Each of them can couple up with their matches and stay in the villa, or be single and vulnerable, resulting in an ultimate elimination.
With every new season, it seems that the villa is given a makeover, and even though the theme colors are similar, the place is redesigned with a new color scheme.
The show recently revealed that they are focusing more on sustainability every year, and this time, they have added yet another new feature. It includes exercise bikes that charge phones at the same time.
Also, it was revealed by the producers that the place runs entirely on solar power. This shows the ways that Love Island UK has decided to be more environmentally aware while also not compromising on the aesthetics and looks whatsoever.
Even the clothes that the islanders are seen in, the creators have revealed, some of them are pre-loved and sourced from eBay.
