From steamy hideaways to luxury rooftops, Love Island USA has taken its cast of singles on a cross-country and sometimes cross-continent journey. Each season brings fresh drama and, just as importantly, a new villa backdrop for all the coupling, re-coupling, and inevitable chaos.

As of season 7, the hit dating show has been set everywhere from the bright lights of Las Vegas to the tropical shores of Fiji. Fans have been tracking villa locations just as closely as they track who's coupled up with whom.

Season 7 returned to its tropical roots in Fiji. Host Ariana Madix teased the revamped space in a May 2025 promo, highlighting new features like a speakeasy, a sauna, and an upgraded Hideaway.

“To ensure things get extra-hot this season,” she added with a smirk.

Let’s take a season-by-season tour of all the exotic spots Love Island USA has called home.

Seasons 1, 5, 6, and 7 brought Love Island USA to Fiji

When it comes to tropical vibes, Fiji checks all the boxes. Ocean views, lush gardens, and enough space for heart-shaped showers and fire pits. That’s why Love Island USA has chosen this island paradise multiple times: for seasons 1, 5, 6, and 7.

The inaugural villa in season 1 came with a few special touches. Arielle Vandenberg, the show’s original host, gave fans a glimpse of the first U.S. villa in 2019.

By season 5, the production team had moved to a different Fijian property with updates like a sunset nook and a revamped communal layout. Season 6 took things even further. According to Today, over 50 locals worked with the crew to transform a 50,000-square-foot property, complete with two pools and a new ping pong area.

Season 7 has stayed put in that same villa, with a few glam updates, because what’s a Love Island USA season without a makeover?

Season 2 took a detour to Las Vegas

The year 2020 changed a lot of things, including the filming location of Love Island USA. With international travel off the table due to the pandemic, the show set up camp in Las Vegas for season 2.

The cast was housed on the rooftop of The Cromwell hotel. And while Sin City might not scream island romance, the production design team worked their magic. They added essentials like a fire pit, pool, sundeck, and an outdoor gym.

Despite the urban setting, the villa still had that signature of the show look: Colorful decor, cozy corners for late-night chats, and just enough drama to make it feel like an island, just minus the ocean.

Season 3 brought Love Island USA to Hawaii

In 2021, Love Island USA continued its stateside streak by jetting off to Hawaii for season 3. The villa? A dreamy estate called Water Falling Estate in Nīnole, Hawaii.

This wasn’t your average beach house. The property came with two waterfalls and a waterslide. After the season wrapped, the estate’s Instagram account shared:

“It was a wild ride to see the creatives at CBS/Love Island USA turn our typically zen Big Island oasis to a candyland of color, lights, patterns and party energy!”

They even added:

“I wish we could have kept the fire pit, all of the cool decks & thousands of twinkle lights.”

Season 4 was filmed at a California ranch

Season 4 marked a new chapter for the show as it moved to Peacock and picked a fresh filming spot: California’s Dos Pueblos Ranch.

Set in Santa Barbara, this villa brought rustic charm with a modern twist. Santa Barbara Independent confirmed the location in July 2022. Think wide-open spaces and coastal views, but with all the colorful daybeds and cheeky signs fans expect.

New host Sarah Hyland introduced fans to a few standout features in a 2022 villa tour, including a workout area, a cozy treehouse, and some hidden seating nooks perfect for gossip sessions or strategic flirting.

It may not have had the tropical oceanfront of Fiji, but this California villa held its own in the romance-and-drama department.

For viewers, knowing where Love Island USA is filmed adds another layer of fun. It’s one more thing to speculate about, right next to who’s getting dumped from the villa or who’s secretly falling in love.

So, whether it’s the lush gardens of Fiji or the party lights of Las Vegas, each villa has played a key role in making Love Island USA the summer obsession it is today.
